Summary created out of 222 reviews

EuroParcs Veluwemeer is situated in a beautiful location directly on the Veluwemeer lake, which guests particularly appreciate for its tranquility and natural surroundings. The park features a swimming pool, beach and play facilities, and staff are regularly praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. While the location and facilities are highly valued, there are substantial concerns about accommodation cleanliness and general maintenance. Guests regularly report dust, dirty bathrooms, mold in joints and poorly cleaned houses upon arrival. The heating system, with motion sensors that frequently switch off, causes discomfort especially during colder periods. The 'dog beach' is disappointing – it's merely a very small access point to the water – and the restaurant and shop have limited opening hours and selection.

The park’s location is beautiful, right on Lake Veluwe and close to charming villages and towns. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the park itself.

The park struck us as poorly maintained and neglected. Several chairs by the pool were broken, and the restroom was incredibly dirty and, on top of that, very small (a kind of portable toilet). There were also a lot of weeds, and the grounds clearly could have used some more attention.

Our mobile home was fairly new, but unfortunately very dirty upon arrival. The bathroom, the toilet, the kitchen, the walls—and pretty much everything—could have used a good cleaning. We reported this, after which someone came by to clean. Unfortunately, they just used the same cleaning cloth to remove the visible stains, instead of, for example, cleaning the entire toilet or an entire cabinet.

All in all, we find this very disappointing, because the park’s location is beautiful and has a lot of potential. However, we found the maintenance and cleaning to be well below par. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend it.

We stayed in group accommodations with a dock. The house is getting on in years, and everything is below standard. The showerheads don’t fit in the holders, the workmanship is shoddy, and the bathrooms are very small. The exterior doors are all stiff. Some of the curtains were torn, there were exposed wires on the router, and the sinks didn’t drain properly. There was a large wasp nest on the dock, but it was removed after we reported it. On the dock itself, there were screws sticking out halfway and it was somewhat dilapidated. It was also too high for standard recreational boats. The grill is full of cigarette butts, and the garden and the area around the house are generally unkempt.
The park itself doesn’t really have much to offer. There’s a small swimming pool that’s okay for cooling off, but there aren’t enough lounge chairs. Also, the restaurant has such odd hours that you’ll find yourself standing in front of closed doors starting at 5:30 p.m. And it’s completely closed on two days. I didn’t see any entertainment, and there isn’t really a program for the kids either. Sure, there’s a playground on the beach, but it’s nothing special. There are a lot of swans, and the beach is sometimes covered in swan droppings along the edge.
People with boats should be especially careful. The water is really very shallow all the way to the islands off the park—sometimes less than 60 cm. Even with the motor trimmed down, it’s a real pain to navigate. The high-speed route to the Funtub is on the opposite side of the lake, and it takes about 15 minutes to get there so you can finally trim the motor down.
I’d imagined it would be better.
So if you want some peace and quiet and don’t care about entertainment programs, the park is okay. But that’s about it. There’s just nothing to do. For people with kids, I’d recommend a different vacation park that offers entertainment and kids’ programs.
We definitely won’t be going back there again.

The chalets were fine, but the cleaning could have been better (especially with all the dust and cobwebs on the ceiling). The park is small-scale, but the pool is wonderful for cooling off or taking a dip in Lake Veluwe. The snack bar and bar are closed on certain days (Wed-Thu-Sun) during peak season. The location is ideal for day trips to places like the Dolfinarium, Elburg, the Veluwe, or renting a boat on Lake Veluwe.

A beautiful park. There isn't much to do besides the pool and the small soccer field. But the surrounding area has many historic Dutch sights. And, of course, plenty of water and forests.

Mooi park.
