There are plenty of active things to do in the vicinity of Glamping De Boshoek. Head to Zeumeren recreational beach for waterskiing, canoeing, or wakeboarding. Apeldoorn and Amersfoort can both be reached within a half-hour drive. Once there, you'll find delightful shops and cozy squares awaiting you. A little further away is the beautiful city of Utrecht. Stroll along the canals, enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of the city, and visit one of the museums such as the Railway Museum or the Nijntje Museum (Miffy Museum). These are two great options for the whole family! Afterwards, find a table at one of the many terraces and indulge in some food and drinks before returning to the glamping site.

    Unfortunately, we found our stay at De Boshoek to be very disappointing. We stayed in a bungalow with our 1.5-year-old child, and precisely because of our young child, we had changed our original booking from the Family Lodge to the Bungalow on the advice of De Boshoek (to ensure a crib in one of the bedrooms).

    Upon arrival, the crib and … high chair—which we had reserved in advance—were missing. During our stay, we also encountered several other issues: a severely outdated bathroom, a shower tray with poor drainage, a toilet that smelled of urine, faulty lighting, and a vacuum cleaner that was barely usable.

    What concerned us most were the safety risks for our child. There were loose cables, exposed electrical outlets at child height, and very hot, easily accessible heating pipes. The heating also didn’t work well at night, causing the bungalow to get very cold. We reported this to the front desk, but in our experience, insufficient action was taken to address it. Ultimately, we therefore decided to leave early on the last night.

    We find it very disappointing that several issues were reported during our stay without, in our opinion, being adequately resolved. Especially from a park that caters to families, we expect the accommodations to be genuinely safe and suitable for young children.

    Unfortunately, our stay did not meet the expectations we had based on De Boshoek’s accommodations, price, and location.

    Helaas hebben wij ons verblijf bij De Boshoek als erg teleurstellend ervaren. We verbleven in een bungalow met ons kind van 1,5 jaar en hadden juist vanwege ons jonge kind op advies van De Boshoek onze oorspronkelijke boeking aangepast van Family Lodge naar de Bungalow (in verband met babybedje in een slaapkamer).

    Bij aankomst ontbraken het babybedje en de kinderstoel, die wij wel voortijdig hadden gereserveerd. Tijdens ons verblijf kwamen we daarnaast meerdere gebreken tegen: een sterk verouderde badkamer, een slecht doorlopende douchebak, een toilet dat naar urine rook, defecte verlichting en een nauwelijks bruikbare stofzuiger.

    Wat ons vooral zorgen baarde, waren de veiligheidsrisico’s voor ons kind. Er waren losse kabels, open stopcontacten op kinderhoogte en zeer hete, makkelijk bereikbare verwarmingsleidingen. Ook werkte de verwarming ’s nachts slecht, waardoor de bungalow erg koud werd. Dit hebben we bij de receptie gemeld, maar naar onze ervaring werd hier onvoldoende actie op ondernomen. Uiteindelijk hebben we daarom besloten de laatste nacht voortijdig te vertrekken.

    Dat meerdere problemen tijdens ons verblijf zijn gemeld zonder dat deze naar onze mening adequaat werden opgelost, vinden wij erg teleurstellend. Zeker van een park dat zich richt op gezinnen verwachten wij dat accommodaties daadwerkelijk veilig en geschikt zijn voor jonge kinderen.

    Voor ons voldeed het verblijf helaas niet aan de verwachtingen die we op basis van de accommodatie, prijs en positionering van De Boshoek hadden.

    Stayed 3 nights at the Veluwe Lounge with private Sauna and Hot Tub. Overall pretty nice. The bedroom size is the biggest disappointment. Very small. Matress not great either. Also surprised that bedsheets and towels aren't included at this price, seems logical when you offer a sauna and hot tub.
    Also shower gel and toilet paper were not … included.
    The hot tub ran out of fuel, and the park service was contacted by app and came to fix it promptly. Very friendly staff. Park has nice facilities. App reservations are practical.
    Happy surprise to find a TV with xbox360.
    Overall pretty nice, but I think you can find better value for money.

    The area where we were staying was beautifully landscaped. The plants, in particular, are amazing. The service is top-notch. Whenever we had questions, we were helped right away. The use of a chatbot here is very well organized. We had a problem with the lock. They sent a video showing how it worked, but they also immediately notified the front … desk. Someone came by fairly quickly to check if everything was okay. And the personal welcome at our cottage was really nice. The breakfast buffet was great. Plenty of choices. Order sandwiches in the afternoon and pick them up fresh the next morning. We really enjoyed our stay.

    Mooi aangeled gedeelte waar wij zaten. Vooral de beplanting is geweldig. De setvice is top. We werden bij vragen meteen geholpen. Hier is de inzet van een chatbot heel goed geregeld. Wij hadden een probleem met het slot. Er werd een filmpje gestuurd hoe het werkte, maar het werd ook meteen aan de receptie door gegeven. Er kwam vrij snel iemand om te kijken of alles in orde was. En het persoonlijke welkom bij ons huisje is helemaal leuk. Ontbijtbuffet was geweldig. Volop keuze. In de middag broodjes bestellen, volgende ochtend vers ophalen. Wij hebben genoten.
