Yesterday, June 25, 2026, it was 34° at the park. That’s hot. There’s a small swimming pool. My kids really wanted to go swimming, but the pool was closed—of all days—in this kind of weather. And why? There was an unprofessional note posted at the front desk stating that the pool was closed due to a staff party. We were told to go swim at another Toppark nearby. My kids were disappointed. So was I. You should let people know about something like this in advance—either by email or at check-in. None of that happened. Not being able to swim wasn’t the only issue. From late afternoon until 11:30 p.m. (23:30!), the boomboxes were turned on, and an amateur band played music way too loud. Pretty unbelievable, right!? There are rules about keeping quiet at the park, but apparently these don’t apply to their own staff. The noise could be heard all the way into the woods. I filed a complaint, but I haven’t received a response (and why doesn’t this surprise me?). A party is fun, Topparken, but not at the expense of my children and myself. What a mess—closing the pool for selfish reasons and denying access to the guests who pay for it. I expect compensation from Topparken, but so far I haven’t heard a word.

    Unfortunately, what a letdown
We love staying at Top Parks. We even booked an extra night at the Scheleberg, not knowing that the staff party was being held by the pool. It was a nice party for the staff—they deserve it.
Unfortunately, as a guest, you’re informed via a note on the gate that the pool is closed starting at 5 p.m. the day before and all day on the day of the party.
No information about music or anything else.
On top of that, it was sweltering hot those days. We would have loved to use the pool.

The party started at 5 p.m. According to Topparken’s house rules, you’re not allowed to cause a disturbance after 10 p.m. Topparken itself doesn’t care and keeps going until midnight, as we were told when we walked over there. Maybe complaining helped a little—the music stopped around 11:15 p.m.
If we’d been informed, we would have understood. Now it’s a shame, given what was stated at the time of booking:

. Topparken would do well to inform guests at the time of booking. This is simply not respectful toward your guests.
