Summary created out of 126 reviews

De Kleine Wereld is a small-scale, child-friendly campsite with a strong holiday atmosphere and beautiful natural surroundings. Guests praise the cosy bistro with a terrace overlooking the natural playground, the heated swimming pool, and the brand-new, clean sanitary facilities with spacious family showers. The location near the Appelbergen nature reserve offers beautiful walking and cycling routes, with the city of Groningen nearby. Points of criticism concern the cramped camping pitches (especially in high season), the high prices in the bistro with a limited menu, and occasionally sloppy service where orders take a long time or are delivered incorrectly.

A lovely, spacious campground. It’s a beautiful and peaceful campground surrounded by greenery. The campsites are separated from one another by shrubs and trees, creating a private atmosphere. The restrooms and swimming pool are excellent. There’s a large, attractively decorated terrace with a bistro offering an appealing menu. In short, a wonderful place to camp.

Mooi ruim opgezette camping.

The pool is nicely heated, which means you can still enjoy swimming outdoors well into September. Clean and modern restroom facilities, and nice, spacious, level campsites. The bistro offers plenty of choices.

We had a wonderful family weekend at the campground. There were about 30 adults and 12 kids in our group. From start to finish, I had a pleasant experience dealing with the campground staff, and they were very accommodating. The campers had their own camping field, and those who wanted to stay in a cabin were welcome to do so. Fresh rolls in the … morning and our own campfire in the evening. There was plenty for the little ones to do: lots of entertainment and a lovely heated pool. On Saturday, we had the Tarp next to the bistro all to ourselves. There, we could grab a snack, a drink, and play a game—and occasionally take shelter from a few raindrops. The campground is well-organized, and the restrooms are clean and luxurious. We didn’t get around to exploring the surrounding area, but we’ll save that for next time. We’ll definitely be back.

A great campground for families with kids up to about 10–12 years old. The restroom building is new and there are plenty of spacious (family) showers—great! There’s a swimming pool, which is a nice bonus for the kids, but during extremely hot weather, it’s way too small for the number of guests staying at the campground. The (craft) program is … sometimes free and fun for little ones, but most of the time there’s a fee starting at 7.50 euros to participate in an activity. Too bad! There’s also a restaurant with a wide variety of food.
The campsites aren’t very spacious; if you bring a small side tent, it can get a bit of a squeeze. The town of Haren is 3 km from the campground and has plenty of shops as well as a few restaurants. You can find everything you need there—great.
In summary, a beautiful, fresh, and well-maintained campground with plenty of amenities. But it’s quite pricey and fairly commercial.

The location is beautiful, with a gorgeous pool and play areas for children. The campground and bistro have a very modern look! Service at the bistro was a bit slow, and the food was a bit pricey for what you get. The simple snacks were the best!
Nice atmosphere on the campsites. The sites are a bit on the small side.
