What you should know about the park
Glamping Lauwersmeer is located near Vierhuizen, on the edge of Lauwersmeer National Park in the north of Groningen. The park consists of safari tents that are ready upon arrival, each with beds, a kitchen, bathroom and veranda. You can swim in the surrounding area: near Lauwersoog, there are small beaches on the Wadden coast and by nearby lakes. The park itself has a playground with a lookout tower and rope swings, and the grounds are low-traffic, making them pleasant for children. For food and drinks, there is a takeaway, a mini-market and a bread roll service for breakfast. Lauwersmeer National Park is a recognised Dark Sky Park, meaning you can enjoy excellent stargazing there in the evening from special lookout towers. During the day, you can walk or cycle through the park, or take a ferry to car-free Schiermonnikoog. The city of Groningen is about 50 km away and offers markets, terraces and the 97-metre-high Martinitoren. Seal spotting in the surrounding area is also an option.

The glamping park is set in a beautiful, peaceful natural location with wide views and offers clean, cosily furnished safari tents. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful staff who are multilingual and respond quickly to questions. Points of criticism include limited service opening hours and availability (reception often closed, bread service unclear), the absence of food and drink options (take-away closed, mini market with limited stock), and mixed experiences with cleanliness where some guests found stains on bedding or insufficient cleaning.

Nice campground, but it's a shame it's right next to a field where they come to spray pesticides.

Beautiful campsite. Unfortunately, in the evening there’s no place to get food, drinks, or ice cream at the store or reception desk.
Tip: There are hooks in the tent for hanging up clothes.
Other than that, it’s a wonderful and cozy place to stay.this is a translation, click here for the original
Prachtige glamping. Helaas in de avond geen mogelijkheid voor eten/drinken of een ijsje te halen bij de winkel/receptie.
Tip: haakjes in de tent voor kleding op te hangen.
Verder een prachtige en gezellige plek om te zijn. -
