Nice campground, although many "permanent places children" who did make a mess of it without any parental supervision. Will in high season with more children wss less noticeable. Pitch with private bathroom was perfect and also very clean!

We had fine camping on the spacious pitches of eurocamping Vessem. Lots of nice play areas for the kids. Fishing pond definitely caught their attention, even though they didn't catch anything. Bouncy castle was also a favorite. We were lucky that the swimming pool also opened on the last day. So we were able to enjoy that too! Too bad the shower building wasn't open yet. We had to walk very far for the shower. Also a water tap was quite a long walk with a heavy jerry can. Fortunately toilets were nearby. I also found it a disadvantage that the roads were made of dusty sand. Sitting outside having breakfast, a car passes by with a huge cloud of dust. The whole tent was completely covered after a week. Just like the children's feet and legs every night. If they would have the roads covered with grass or paved, that would save a lot of dirt.

Too bad they allow so much noise at night from people partying in fields or group kids in the evening past the tents. A policy on this is desirable.

After reading the positive reviews we chose Eurocamping Vessem. But we were disappointed. To begin with, if the wind is a little bit you can hear airplanes leaving all day. In addition, the plumbing leaves something to be desired. There are a lot of old-fashioned toilets and water houses scattered around the campsite. And there are 2 somewhat modern toilet buildings. What seems to me very little in high season. Furthermore, just outside the area with camping fields there is a modern building put for the facilities rented by it. You have to pay separately to use the showers 1€ for about 6 min. It would be nice if somewhere there would be an indication of how long you get water. There is also a canteen where time has stood still with a pool table and other games. The prices for a drink are reasonable. The opening hours are limited. There is also a small supermarket, with no staff and wide opening hours but with more than ridiculous prices. You also have to buy ice cream from an unstaffed station. I wonder what then is left of social contacts on the campsite if you don't put staff and thus customer friendliness anywhere. There is a fishing pond, if you like fishing you can do well here. The pond is also crowded. Furthermore, it was noticeable that the campsite was almost empty in the May vacation. In any case, we will not come again. Camping for us is togetherness and lively and that is missing at this campsite.
