Summary created out of 200 reviews
The park is beautifully situated by the Kraaijenbergse Plassen and offers tranquillity, nature, and excellent opportunities for boating, cycling, and walking. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, the beach with clear water, and the spacious, modern design of many accommodations. While the waterside location is seen as a major advantage, cleanliness upon arrival unfortunately often falls short, with reports of dust, stains, and pests. Additionally, the limited on-site facilities, combined with noise from the nearby motorway and summer heat without air conditioning, lead to disappointment for some guests.

We spent a week on summer vacation with 4 adults (2 with limited mobility), a 14-year-old, and a large dog. Hackford 6, Unit 361—the house was well-equipped but had a few minor flaws that we could overlook. There’s a step to navigate at the entrance and at the balcony doors. It was very hot, but you could rent fans for a deposit. The curtains are very thin; ones that keep out the heat would be better. It was around 34 degrees inside the house. Our lot was on the edge of the park. The parking spot assigned to us was too small for our Maxi Caddy. We took our dog for walks outside the park to avoid other dogs. Everyone just has to be careful and give each other as much space as possible—unfortunately, that’s not so easy since the paths aren’t wide and everything is packed closely together. The beach is beautiful and the water is clean. The staff is attentive and friendly. The restaurant isn’t very busy; the food was okay. The rolls in the morning were warm and fresh. We’d come back again.

We stayed here for 7 days in July. If the temperature is over 30°C, you should definitely book an air conditioner. It costs 15€ a day, but ours ran around the clock. There have been some complaints about cleanliness here, but I have nothing negative to say about that. Everything was perfectly fine for us. Otherwise, when the wind is blowing in the wrong direction, you can hear the highway a little, but we didn’t find that particularly bothersome. We’d actually given up on the Netherlands—we found it all so dog-unfriendly, especially since we usually vacation in Italy. Here in this region, it was completely different; one of the restaurants even had a special dog menu.

A nice place to relax—fine for a weekend by the lake. However, the accommodations are very close together and simply built. With summer temperatures and no ventilation or anything like that, this can quickly become a problem. A little more kitchen equipment—at least a toaster—would be nice. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Given the price charged, the accommodations, service, and cleanliness are unfortunately out of proportion. We wanted to spend a weekend swimming and relaxing, and for that, it was okay. All in all, it’s a location with potential that could be greatly improved. Good luck with that.

Viel Erfolg dabei.
