Camping De Haer is a hospitable family-run site near the picturesque village of Ootmarsum, ideally located in the beautiful Twente countryside with excellent cycling and walking routes. Guests especially praise the exceptionally clean and spacious sanitary facilities cleaned twice daily, and the friendly, helpful owners who create a relaxed atmosphere. The spacious pitches, swimming pool, playground, and restaurant with surprisingly good menu complete the experience. Some guests on pitches at the front experience traffic noise from the nearby road, and the use of payment tokens for hot water is not appreciated by everyone.

At this campground every year you see where your camping money stays. Every year is invested in improvements and expansion of the accommodation. Kudos to the brothers and sister who together form an enthusiastic team. No wonder many, like us, love to return there. Recommended for those who also like to explore the beautiful surroundings. … Ootmarsum, Vasse etc. Twente at its finest. Update: 2021. There is now also a possibility to rent so-called Clamping Tents. Spacious and equipped with all amenities such as a shower cabin, toilet and fully equipped kitchen. Visit the site. Op deze camping zie je elk jaar weer waar je campinggeld blijft. Elk jaar wordt geïnvesteerd in verbeteringen en uitbreiding van de accommodatie. Hulde aan de broers en schoonzus die samen een enthousiast team vormen. Geen wonder dat velen, zoals wij, er graag terugkomen
Aanrader voor degenen die ook graag de prachtige omgeving willen verkennen. Ootmarsum, Vasse enz. Twente op haar mooist.
Update: 2021. Er is nu ook een mogelijkheid om zgn. Clamping Tenten te huren. Ruim bemeten en voorzien van alle gemakken zoals een douchecabine, toilet en compleet ingerichte keuken. Bezoek de site.
Update 2022: te huur zijn ook zgn. Tiny Houses. Juweeltjes in vormgeving. Voor de liefhebber.
Update 2025: In de afgelopen 20 jaar brachten we enkele weken per jaar door op de camping om daarna Europa in te trekken. Daaraan is een einde gekomen en waren we dit jaar 4 maanden aan het "Twents geniet"n". Uiteraard vanwege de camping, maar vooral ook vanwege de fiets- en wandeltochten in de omgeving.
Voor ons terecht de toewijzing van de ACSI Award Fietscamping van het jaar.
Update mei 2026. Nog onvoldoende aangestipt in bovenstaande tekst: de horeca. Uiteraard is er de mogelijkheid om divers "bruin fruit" uit de frituur af te halen of op de terassen te nuttigen, maar ik wil vooral de aandacht vestigen op op de menukaart. Diverse plates waarbij opvalt dat ze opgemaakt worden door een keukenbrigade met horeca-ervaring. Als voorbeeld het voorgerecht kalf- of kaaskroketjes op een bedje salade. Ziet er zeer fraai uit en voortreffelijk van smaak. -

A fun and cozy campground. The family is exceptionally hospitable. The charming town of Ootmarsum is nearby, and the surrounding area is beautiful. We went on some lovely bike rides through the Twente countryside.

Leuke camping niet te groot! Goeie en vriendelijke service! Sanitaire voorzieningen worden heel netjes bijgehouden! Er is ook genoeg te doen binnen 10 a 15 minuten rijden rond de camping! Je kan er ook prima in de omgeving fietsen en zo naar de omliggende dorpen gaan.
