Camping de Koeksebelt

A campground with no rules—and the rules that do exist, you don’t have to follow them at all. Seriously, there are a lot of rowdy people at this campground. You see the dogs running loose, and it’s better not to say anything about it. Electric scooters, e-bikes—no, at Koeksebelt, anything goes. We’re not coming back. What a rowdy campground—and the staff and owner don’t do nothing. Even at the pool, anything goes—it’s really turning into a campground for the uncivilized crowd. Ugh, too bad it was taken over—no progress, just going backward. Sad.

Really bad—no enforcement on scooters and fat bikes; lots of rude people; staff is rude and unhelpful. One of the staff members was yelling at a kid. No money coming in, so figure it out yourself. The food isn’t much better; the snack bar is terrible. If we come back, we’ll just have to put up with the rude people. No, it’s it hasn’t gotten any better since the takeover—too bad for us; this was our last time there

We stayed at this beautiful campground with our caravan at the end of June. We were right by the water. A wonderful spot. All the sites are very spacious. The restrooms were very nice, clean, and plentiful. Kudos to the cleaning staff. Nice pool with lounge chairs. In short, we had a great time. The Wi-Fi was also very good—we were even able to watch a soccer game. The only minor downside was the reception at the front desk. They could be more engaged and enthusiastic; it came across as a bit disinterested. The family running the restaurant made up for it, though. Amazing!!! Both the food and the service were excellent. We’ll be back.
