My five day stay here with my dog was just wonderful! I wanted somewhere quiet, calm and in nature and that's exactly what it is.
The accommodation was clean and had almost everything we needed. I liked the little patio and garden we have and it was perfect to be able to park right in front of it. Additionally, my cabin faced a green space instead of another cabin which was lovely.
For me, the bed was uncomfortable (hard) but that's personal preference. There was a hob but no oven, microwave or dishwasher.
I was glad I brought my own fan because it was very warm in the afternoon.
There's a gate that leads straight into the forest towards De Witte Bergen which was wonderful. We also went for walks nearby at the Zwarte Dennen which is really nice.
Check in and out was easy and smooth with friendly staff. My dog even got her own little welcome packet with a ball, treats and dog bags.
Overall, a really peaceful, calm place which was exactly what I wanted. Thanks! -

Subject: Formal Complaint and Request for a Full Refund
Dear EuroParcs Reestervallei Management,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment and to file a formal complaint regarding our recent stay at your resort.
We booked what was clearly advertised as a holiday house at EuroParcs Reestervallei based on the photos and description displayed on your website. After paying a deposit of €300 on 30 June 2026, our reservation was confirmed.
On 23 July 2026, we arrived at your resort at approximately 12:00 p.m.. The receptionist informed us that our accommodation was not yet ready and asked us to return at 4:00 p.m.. We returned at around 7:00 p.m., collected the key, and were shocked to discover that the accommodation provided was a tent, not the holiday house that had been advertised and booked.
We immediately went back to reception and explained that this accommodation was completely different from what we had reserved. Unfortunately, the receptionist informed us that there were no other units available and could not guarantee that we could be moved the following day. She was unhelpful, showed no empathy, and made no genuine effort to find a solution, despite the fact that we were a family of four who had travelled approximately 300 km from Germany to spend our holiday at your resort.
The tent was completely unsuitable for our family. It was open at the front and could not be securely closed, raising serious concerns about safety, privacy, and the possibility of insects or rodents entering the accommodation. Under these circumstances, it was impossible for us to stay there.
As a result, we had no option but to leave the resort immediately and lose the money we had already paid. Our holiday was ruined before it even began.
We believe that the accommodation advertised on your website was misleading and did not match what we actually received. This caused us significant financial loss, unnecessary travel expenses, stress, and great disappointment.
Therefore, we formally request:
A full refund of all amounts paid.
Compensation for the inconvenience and the unnecessary journey we made.
An explanation as to why the accommodation advertised differed so significantly from what was provided.
We hope you will resolve this matter promptly and professionally. If we do not receive a satisfactory response, we reserve the right to escalate this complaint through the relevant consumer protection authorities and to share our experience on public review platforms to inform other potential guests.
We look forward to your prompt response.
Yours sincerely,
Dawod Al Isou -

It’s a very pleasant campground if you’re looking for some peace and quiet. There are relatively few children, but for those who are there, there’s a nice play area where they can play soccer, table tennis, and do a few other things. We stayed in a glamping tent, and it was perfectly fine. It was big enough and reasonably clean. The shower was fine, and you can park your car right next to the tent. The staff was definitely friendly. The pool is a bit small for the park. There’s a bread delivery service, but no store—just a mini-cafeteria. The surroundings are very green, and the nearest village is about a 15-minute drive away. It’s a great park if you’re looking for peace and quiet without too many kids around.
