Salland Ridge

The Salland Ridge is one of the largest contiguous moorland areas in Europe. The hills were formed long ago, during the ice age. Nowadays you can hike, mountain bike, bike, and hike there as an adventurer or nature lover. There are numerous beautiful routes where you can be both active and clear your head. A day of fun in Hellendoorn Adventure Park

In the middle of the Sallandse woods, and less than fifteen minutes drive from the vacation park, is Avonturenpark Hellendoorn. The adventure park is a fun day out for young and old. There are more than 30 top attractions, including the wild water ride 'Wild Waterfall', the '3 Secret Towers' where you can climb and clamber, and the 'Flying Flame' roller coaster. You can also visit one of the many spectacular shows and there is an outside sliding track where you will have plenty of adventures. The park has several catering establishments where you can go for a small snack or dinner. Keep in mind that the park is closed during winter months.

Dining in the Gardens of Priona

This unique pop-up restaurant "The Garden Room" serves culinary dishes using products from the Gardens of Priona throughout the summer months. Depending on what is growing in the garden, the menu changes weekly and is always fresh. The restaurant itself is an old greenhouse which stands in the middle of the gardens. The Priona Gardens were created in 1970 with the goal that everything revolves around ecological balance. By now the Gardens of Priona are internationally known. The beautiful and very inspiring Gardens count more than 5000 different species of flowers and plants. You will find the Gardens of Priona and the Garden Room in Schuinesloot, about a half-hour drive from the vacation park.

    Fine luxury houses , in the middle of nature. Nice restaurant at the park,bike rental (reserve in advance). Villages nearby within cycling distance. Good beds made, towels and kitchen towels are ready. Extensive kitchen, private sauna, 2 bathrooms, 2 or 3 (separate) toilets, garden furniture, open gas fireplace. In short, for both good and bad weather fine to spend a short vacation. Meanwhile for the 4th time in a row this year. Usually at Easter, Ascension or Pentecost.

    Fijne luxe huizen , midden in de natuur. Lekker restaurant op het park,fietsverhuur (vooraf reserveren). Dorpjes in de buurt op fiets afstand. Goede opgemaakte bedden, handdoeken en keukendoeken liggen klaar. Uitgebreide keuken, eigen sauna, 2 badkamers, 2 of 3 (aparte) toiletten, tuinmeubels, open gashaard. Kortom zowel voor mooi als minder mooi weer prima om een korte vakantie door te brengen. Ondertussen voor de 4e keer op rij geweest dit jaar. Meestal met Pasen , Hemelvaart of Pinksteren.

    Arrival at the residence started less already. Reception was already closed after 16:00, very unusual for a usual arrival day so getting coffee was also impossible because they only sell this at the reception and not in the supermarket.... The surroundings are lovely and so is the stay. We were 2 but the cottage was for 5 people. However if I had to cook here for 5 people I would have a problem because the pans are not big enough. There is also no hairdryer available which is actually bizarre but good. Also the shower with a sun shower smelled like sewer. If you come with a big car parking at the residence is also already a challenge. We could barely get the turn through the narrow road and the bushes and trees. At some cottages there is plenty of room and at some not at all unfortunately. Therefore I would certainly not give this stay 5 stars, at landal or center parcs parks you already get a better stay offered (always a hairdryer) while they are not 5 star vacation parks. I do not know if I will return here.

    Aankomst bij het verblijf begon al minder. Receptie was al dicht na 16:00 uur, erg bijzonder voor een gebruikelijke aankomstdag dus was koffie krijgen ook al onmogelijk omdat ze dit alleen bij de receptie verkopen en niet in de supermarkt... De omgeving is heerlijk en het verblijf ook. We waren met z'n 2en maar het huisje was voor 5 personen. Echter als ik hier zou moeten koken voor 5 personen zou ik een probleem hebben want de pannen zijn niet groot genoeg. Er is ook geen föhn aanwezig dat is eigenlijk wel bizar maar goed. Ook stonk de douche met een sun shower naar riool. Als je met een grote auto komt is parkeren bij het verblijf ook al een uitdaging. We konden de draai amper krijgen door het smalle weggetje en de struiken en bomen. Bij sommige huisjes is er ruimte zat en bij sommige totaal niet helaas. Daarom zou ik dit verblijf ook zeker geen 5 sterren kunnen geven, bij landal of center parcs parken krijg je al een beter verblijf aangeboden (altijd een fohn) terwijl het geen 5 sterren vakantieparken zijn. Ik weet niet of ik hier terug zal keren.
