Kampeerdorp de Zandstuve is surrounded by great cities for a day out! After half an hour's drive you are in Zwolle. This medieval city is full of beautiful buildings, has many nice stores and enough terraces for a drink or lunch. Ommen is a 20-minute drive away. This old Hanseatic city is located on the banks of the river De Vecht. Make it an active outing by biking in that direction and finding somewhere along the river to picnic. By bike, it will take you about 40 minutes to arrive in the center, where you will find nice terraces and stores.

On the road through Twente with a TukTuk

Get together in some TukTuks and discover the landscape of Twente. At Twente Tour, you can choose from different vehicles and routes, including a colorful TukTuk with room for 3 people. Drive past a petting zoo, a playground, and set off on your own through the Tukkerland. The routes can be followed via an app and start from Ootmarsum, a half-hour drive from the glamping.

Guests are very positive about the animation and the enthusiastic team that organises daily activities with Cobus the Owl and other characters for all ages. The swimming pool with slides, both indoor and outdoor, is highly appreciated by young and old alike. The playgrounds on every field and the large play castle provide plenty of fun. The park is well maintained, sanitary facilities are consistently kept clean, and staff are friendly and helpful.

    We had booked a midweek stay at the Rheeze family home. Upon arrival, we were able to park the car at the cottage and gain entry using the phone. The front desk called at 5:00 p.m. to let us know they would be closing at 6:00 p.m. and to ask if we had any questions before our arrival (we hadn’t checked in yet). Very nice.

    Unfortunately, the living room floor was still dirty; there were some potato chip crumbs on the floor and a small ball under a cabinet. After we reported it, they said they’d pass it on, but it wasn’t cleaned up.

    The rooms were fine. There’s air conditioning in the cottage, but not on the attic floor. It can get very hot up there. The other rooms don’t have air conditioning either, but the unit is mounted in the roof ridge of the landing. Keeping all the doors open does help keep it cooler.
    The bathroom downstairs, next to the bedroom, doesn’t have very good ventilation. It smelled a bit musty after just one shower. We kept the connecting door open and the exhaust fan on. That helped a bit.

    The park is very neat and well-maintained. The entertainment program is very well organized. It’s all about the kids, and that was clearly evident. All the children in our group (ages 1 to 7) were engaged by the activities. All the staff members are very friendly with the children. We thought the entertainment team came across as very professional.

    On our second day, two girls from the front desk/organization brought us a shopping bag containing an activity booklet for each child and a “30 Seconds” game for the family.
    The day before we left (the second-to-last day), someone came by to drop off a Boggle game for each family (there were two families staying with us).
    All in all, a wonderful stay!

    We hadden een midweek in familiehuis Rheeze geboekt. Bij aankomst konden we de auto bij het huisje zetten en via de telefoon binnen komen. De receptie belde om 17.00 om te melden dat zij om 18.00 zouden sluiten, of we nog vragen hadden voor onze aankomst (we waren nog niet ingecheckt). Heel fijn.

    De vloer van de huiskamer was helaas nog vies, er lagen nog een aantal chipsresten op de grond en een balletje onder een kast. Na het melden zouden ze dit doorgeven, er werd niet alsnog gepoetst.

    De kamers waren prima. Er is airco in het huisje, echter niet op de zolderverdieping. Daar kan het heel warm worden. De andere kamers hebben ook geen airco, maar de airco hangt in de nok van de overloop. Alle deuren open, zorgt er wel voor dat het koeler is.
    De badkamer beneden, bij de slaapkamer, heeft niet hele goede afzuiging. Het rook er wat muf na 1x douchen. We hebben de deur tussendoor open gehouden en de afzuiging aan. Dit hielp wat.

    Het park is erg netjes en goed onderhouden. De animatie is erg goed in elkaar gezet. Het draait om de kinderen en dat was goed te merken. Van ons gezelschap werden alle kinderen (tussen 1 en 7 jaar) aangesproken door de activiteiten. Alle begeleiders zijn erg leuk in contact met de kinderen. Wij vonden het animatieteam erg professioneel overkomen.

    Op onze tweede dag kwamen twee meiden van de receptie/organisatie een boodschappentasje brengen met daarin voor elk kind een activiteitenboekje en een 30 seconds spelletje voor het gezin.
    Op de dag voor vertrek (een na laatste dag) kwam iemand een boggle spelletje afgeven voor elk gezin (wij waren met 2 gezinnen).
    Al met al, een fijn verblijf!

    Over het camping gedeelte kan ik weinig zeggen.

    Stuvers is a great campground. Fun activities with a varied program for all ages. The campground is clean and situated in a beautiful location. There are nice play areas and friendly staff. They’re also constantly making improvements.
