The area is perfect for active days outside. Nearby, there are several mountain bike trails through forests and gently rolling terrain. Horseback riding is also easy to arrange here, with riding schools and bridle paths in the region. The landscape is varied enough to make every route different, without making it complicated. Just head outside and go.

For a day out, there are several options within a half-hour drive. At the Rutbeek in Enschede you’ll find a climbing forest with various courses among the trees, suitable for different ages. In the same area there’s also a recreational lake with beaches, where you can swim and play. Just across the border in Germany is Tierpark Nordhorn, a zoo where you can walk among the animals and the grounds are spacious. Additionally, you can find museums in cities like Enschede and Hengelo, ranging from art to technology. Everything is about 15 to 30 kilometers away, making it easy to alternate a farm day with something off the property.

A short distance from the farm you'll find Buurserzand and Haaksbergerveen, two nature reserves that immediately show how varied Twente is. Here you walk through heathlands, past fens, and over wooden walkways through the peat area. In spring and summer, parts of the landscape turn purple, while the mornings are often quiet and misty. The routes range from short loops to longer walks, making it easy to choose how long you'd like to be out. There are also sections perfect for children to explore, such as water, sand, and open plains. The area is about 5 to 10 kilometers from the campsite and is easily accessible by bike or car.
