Mediocre vacation park,
The cottage wasn’t clean and was extremely noisy—to give you an idea: if you walk through the house in socks, the little paintings on the wall rattle and the sound echoes throughout the entire house. While showering, the showerhead was right on my head because the bottom bracket had broken off. The caulk joints and … the rest of the bathroom were downright filthy. There wasn’t enough bedding on the bed to make it up. You pay for a high chair (which I’m fine with), but you have to clean it yourself… what I do find concerning is the fire extinguisher, which should have been inspected over a year ago and whose pressure gauge is already at the very bottom. I tried to bring this up at the front desk, but the “salesman”—as he calls himself—can’t (or won’t) do anything for you… at least write down the number of our cottage!!
The waterfront location is very beautiful. The main road is a bit noisy, but there’s nothing you can do about that.this is a translation, click here for the original
Matig vakantiepark,

A very lovely little park with a variety of house types in the nature reserve. We stayed in a beautiful, modern villa—it had everything we needed. Located right on the water—simply fantastic.

Great vacation home with a few quirks.
We stayed there for 4 nights and had a wonderful time with a rented electric boat, fishing, and our SUP. Giethoorn (the Venice of the Netherlands) is easily accessible by boat, and you can even dock at the Spar in Giethoorn and go shopping.
The park is very quiet. With small children, I’d … recommend staying here for no more than 3–4 nights; otherwise, it could get boring quickly.
Tiny House 328 has a great view of the harbor and the lake. The house and the terrace were in like-new condition and furnished in a modern style.
Inside the house itself, there were a few things that should be upgraded over time. A poorly positioned light sensor in the bathroom, hooks in the bathroom, and unused storage space under the sink in the bathroom and kitchen could easily be solved by adding a shelf, which would reduce clutter in the tiny house and make the stay more comfortable. For example, our hair dryer and toiletries bag were constantly lying on the bathroom floor.
Due to the proximity to the water, mosquitoes were a common occurrence in the evening. At the same time, the house heated up significantly because of the sloped ceilings, and even when it cooled down outside in the evening and we could have opened the windows to ventilate, we didn’t do so. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have been able to sleep because of the many mosquitoes. Fly screens on the windows or around the beds, and/or fans or ventilation devices to get the hot air out of the house, would make for a more relaxing vacation. We only had one very hot night during which we could hardly sleep at all with the windows closed and the heat unbearable; if there had been four such nights, the vacation wouldn’t have been restful.
We also saw some tiny houses at the harbor that had air conditioning and mosquito nets, but then you didn’t have the unobstructed view of the lake.
If we were to go back, we’d bring a fan and mosquito nets for the beds! The view is worth it!this is a translation, click here for the original
