EuroParcs Kagerplassen is beautifully situated by the water with a peaceful, green environment and well-maintained facilities. Guests particularly appreciate the stunning location directly on the Kagerplassen lakes, the friendly and helpful staff, and the neat, clean appearance of the park. The proximity to cities such as Leiden, Amsterdam, and The Hague makes it an ideal base, while the canoe rental and water activities provide relaxation. Some guests did note noise disturbance from low-flying aircraft from Schiphol airport.

    Unfortunately, it was a bad experience...
    We stayed at the Kagerplassen Resort in the Netherlands this week. After some back-and-forth beforehand—since the resort changed owners at the last minute (it’s no longer part of Europarcs)—we checked into our L-Cube with the Premium Package (cleaning, towels, etc.). Of course, the full price had to be paid in advance.
    We found a nice house, which unfortunately was very dirty; the vacuum cleaner in the house smelled as if there were already 10 dead mice in the vacuum bag, the towels were full of stains—likely from nightly mosquito
    On Saturday, we were given a laminated note stating that a window in the house wasn’t working but was supposed to be repaired (already) by Wednesday (unfortunately, it didn’t specify which Wednesday in which month or year, because nothing was actually repaired).
    This inevitably meant that one room couldn’t be ventilated by creating a draft, which was unbearable given the current temperatures. Air conditioning: none; mosquito screens: none; sleeping: almost impossible—you have the choice between dying of heat or being bitten to death by mosquitoes (hence the many spots on the towels, walls, and ceilings).
    Complaints fall on deaf ears with the very nice but inactive staff; a friendly smile and an “I’m sorry” are all you get.
    It’s a shame about the otherwise beautiful resort, but the Netherlands is still worth a visit—maybe just in different accommodations.

    Leider schlecht ...
    wir waren diese Woche im Resort Kagerplassen in Holland. Nach einigem Hin- und Her im Vorfeld, da das Resort kurzfristig den Besitzer gewechselt hat - es ist jetzt kein Europarcs mehr - haben wir unser L-Cube mit Premium Paket (Reinigung, Handtücher, ...) bezogen. Der volle Preis war natürlich vorab zu entrichten.
    Vorgefunden haben wir ein schönes Haus, das leider sehr dreckig war, der Staubsauger, der im Haus war, hat gerochen, als ob schon 10 tote Mäuse im Staubsaugerbeutel wären, die Handtücher waren voller Flecken, die auf nächtliche Moskito - Jadgen schliessen lassen.
    Uns wurde am Samstag ein laminierter Zettel mitgegeben, dass ein Fenster im Haus nicht funktioniert, aber am Mittwoch (schon) repariert werden soll (leider stand nicht drauf, welcher Mittwoch in welchem Monat/Jahr, denn repariert wurde nichts).
    Das hiess zwangsläufig, dass ein Zimmer nicht auf Durchzug gelüftet werden konnte, was bei den aktuellen Temperaturen einen Zumutung war. Klimaanlage: Fehlanzeige, Mückengitter: Fehlanzeige, Schlafen: fast nicht möglich, man hat die Wahl zwischen Hitzetod und von Mücken zerstochen werden (daher auch die vielen Flecken an den Handtüchern und Wänden und Decken).
    Reklamationen prallen am sehr netten aber untätigen Personal ab, ein freundliches Lächeln und Sorry ist alles, was man erhält.
    Schade um die ansonsten schöne Anlage, Holland ist aber trotzdem eine Reise wert, vielleicht halt in eine andere Unterkunft

    What a gorgeous location, and so close to Leiden, The Hague, and Amsterdam.
    The large houses at the end of the park, in particular, are fantastic in terms of construction and space, and are right on the Kagerplas. We also found the Tyna Houses very charming.

    Wat een super mooie locatie en dicht bij Leiden,Den Haag en Amsterdam.
    Met name de grote huizen aan het einde van het park zijn super Qua bouw en ruimte en liggen direct aan de Kagerplas. Ook vonden wij de tyna houses erg charmant.
