Summary created out of 209 reviews
The park is beautifully situated in a wooded, peaceful setting and offers modern lodges with ample space. Guests appreciate the central location for trips to Utrecht, Amsterdam, and Amersfoort, as well as the facilities including a pool with slide, playgrounds, and daily children's animation. The friendly reception staff are frequently mentioned, along with the convenience of parking directly at your lodge. At the same time, cleanliness in many accommodations falls short: guests report dirty dishes, stains on walls and bathrooms, and worn bedding. The accessibility of reception and inconsistent opening hours of the restaurant and snack bar also cause frustration, as does the absence of air conditioning during warm periods.

The house can be a bit cleaner and the other reviews about the restaurant are still applicable. We called for the reservation and we always went 1H before our standard diner time. Other than that the place is great!

Disappointing and not transparent
We deliberately booked “Hackfort Wood Hottub 6” through Booking.com. Later, I happened to see on the official EuroParcs website that you have to pay an extra €50 to use the hot tub, plus a €35 deposit. If I hadn’t checked their website myself, I probably wouldn’t have found this out until I arrived.
Other additional fees, such as those for a pet, made-up beds, and towels, were also not clearly visible on Booking.com, in my opinion, and got lost among other information. For example, when booking, I didn’t see that there was an extra charge for made-up beds and towels, and I only found out after receiving a message from EuroParcs.
When I contacted EuroParcs about the hot tub, I was told that it was unfortunate that this wasn’t clear to us and that they “don’t have full control over what Booking.com does or doesn’t list.” No solution and not even an apology. After a few messages, I no longer felt like engaging in an endless discussion.
Subsequently, Booking.com told us over the phone that EuroParcs is responsible for the information they provide.
When you book a property with “Hot Tub” in the name, you expect that the additional €50 required to actually use it will be clearly stated before booking—not that you’ll have to figure it out for yourself afterward. Unfortunately, the way EuroParcs handled this left me with a very negative impression.this is a translation, click here for the original
Teleurstellend en niet transparant
Wij boekten via Booking.com bewust “Hackfort Wood Hottub 6”.
