A day trip to the south

Take a trip south and visit cozy Flemish cities. A 40-minute drive away is Bruges. Stroll through the historic city center, head to one of the 50 chocolatiers and taste a Brugse Zot. Ghent is an hour's drive away. Take a boat trip through the center, see the medieval castle and end the day with a refreshing local beer, the Gentse Strop.

During a glamping vacation on the coast of Zeeland, an active day near or in the water can not be missed! After fifteen minutes of cycling you are at Moio Beach in Cadzand. Rent a SUP to get into the water, go kayaking in the surf, or book a lesson in wave surfing. Don't want to get in the water, but want to do something adventurous on the beach? Then let yourself be pulled by the wind while blokarting or try to control a kite during an afternoon of power kiting. You can also participate in various beach sports such as beach golf, ditch shooting and beach lacrosse. There is something for everyone!

Bird watching in Het Zwin nature reserve

Less than half an hour's drive from the glamping is Het Zwin nature park. This green area is no less than 155 acres and attracts many birds and other animals in addition to people. As you walk through nature you will come across nesting storks, geese and ducks. Before your walk, head toward the center building, where they'll give you all the info you need about the area's nature and wildlife.

A day at the museum

A hair growth helmet, a flying bicycle, and a swimming umbrella… you will find it all in this special museum. And that's only a 15-minute drive away. Want to learn more about fishing, marine animals and birds? Then drive 15 minutes to the Fisheries Museum in Breskens. From utensils to fossils and a sea aquarium, through various objects and stories you will dive into the fishing and animal world here. Try tying a fisherman's knot yourself or watch a fisherman make a fishing net.

    The staff at the front desk were very friendly; I rented a beach house. It was very nice, but unfortunately extremely expensive, and the bedroom on the first floor is hard to get to. However, the campground is quite far from the beach.

    Sehr nettes Personal am Empfang, hatte ein Strandhaus gemietet. Sehr schön, leider extrem teuer und das Schlafzimmer im 1. Stock ist nur schwer erreichbar. Der Campingplatz liegt jedoch sehr weit vom Strand entfernt.

    Great camping site in Cadzand Netherlands. Booking is easy from their website and responsive communication via email. To check in, you only need to present your ID. You get a card per guest which you can use for the hot water of the shower and dish washing sink. There is also a free dish washer. Toilets and showers are always clean and dry. Camp … site is car free zone with a children playground. The camp site is a bit small and can only fit 2 tents. You are also quite close to your neighbors. Camp is 10 minutes walk away from the beach and it’s a nice to bike around beside the coast. All in all good experience.

    This campground is very centrally located if you want to visit the southern part of the Netherlands.
    The nearby town of Sluis is always worth a visit.
    To explore the wider area, you’ll need a car since there’s no public transportation available at the campground.
    If you’re looking for something to do on a day with bad weather, I recommend … a trip to Knokke. Buy a day pass for the coastal tram from the vending machine there (€9) and take it to De Panne, which is about 70 km away.

    Dieser Platz ist sehr zentral gelegen wenn man den Süden von Holland besuchen möchte.
    Die Stadt Sluis in der Nähe ist immer einen Besuch wert.
    Um die weitere Umgebung zu erkunden ist ein Fahrzeug nötig da es beim Camping keine öffentliche Verkehrsmittel gibt.
    Wer einen Ausflug an eine schlechten Wettertag machen will, dem empfehle ich einen Ausflug nach Knokke. Dort eine Tageskarte für das Küstentram am Automat kaufen (9€) und in das etwa 70 km entfernte De Panne zu fahren.

    A great resort for every kind of camping—from pitching a tent on the lawn to staying in a modern lodge—there’s something for everyone. There are plenty of activities for kids, too. The entertainment staff even picks up the kids, and there are lots of playgrounds and a great pool area. The beach is just a short bike ride away. One small drawback: … the entertainment program is only partially available in German, and the pools are pretty cold. Otherwise, it’s really great. Our kids had a fantastic vacation!

    Tolle Anlage für jede Art von Camping - vom Zelt auf der Wiese bis zur modernen Lodge - für jeden was dabei. Auch Kinder haben hier viele Möglichkeiten. Animation, die die Kinder sogar abholt, viele Spielplätze und toller Poolbereich. Strand schnell mit dem Fahrrad erreichbar. Kleines Manko: Animation nur eingeschränkt auf Deutsch und die Pools sind ziemlich kalt. Sonst wirklich prima. Unsere Kinder hatten einen tollen Urlaub!
