There are two lighthouses in Westkapelle that are definitely worth a visit during your vacation. The first, 't Lage Licht, is located right on the coast near the Zeedijk. The pavilions have spacious and well-furnished living rooms. Very close to the beach and a mini-supermarket.
It’s great for dogs, since dogs are allowed on the beach year-round and the adjacent forest all the way to Westkapelle is explicitly designated as an off-leash area for dogs!
Downside: the dreadful Ideal Standard fixtures. Only hobbits and Brits can probably wash their hands properly at the tiny faucet in the separate toilet. The smooth shower knobs become impossible to turn once you have soap on your fingers. The shower is large enough, though, to simply let the water run while you lather up, but that’s a pointless waste.this is a translation, click here for the original
Die Pavillons haben geräumige & gut eingerichtete Wohnzimmer. Sehr nah am Strand und Mini-Supermarkt.
Für Hunde liegt es prima, da der Strand Hunde ganzjährig erlaubt und der angrenzende Wald bis Westkapelle explizit als Freilauf Areal für Hunde ausgewiesen ist!
Nachteil: die unsäglichen Armaturen von Ideal Standard. Am Mini-Wasserhahn der separaten Toilette können sich wohl nur Hobbits und Briten die Hände richtig waschen. Die glatten Knöpfe der Dusche lassen sich mit Seife an den Fingern nicht mehr drehen. Die Dusche ist aber groß genug, um das Wasser beim Einseifen einfach laufen zu lassen, aber das ist eine sinnlose Verschwendung. -
