Cube by the Sea 4 - 4 persons

Unfortunately, our house was very disappointing during our second stay—and, above all, it wasn’t clean. There was dust and old stains everywhere; there were stains on the couch, squashed mosquitoes were still stuck to the walls and ceiling, and even the curtains were stained. The bathroom wasn’t really clean either. Especially with a vacation home, you’d expect much more—particularly for the price.

This was our second time at EuroParcs Schoneveld, and unfortunately, we had pretty bad luck with the house this year. That’s especially unfortunate, since we actually really like the park itself.

The location is great: the beach is only about 10 minutes away, dogs are allowed, and the proximity to the beach is a major plus. Parking is also very convenient. The park itself looks clean and well-maintained.

Another thing we noticed: there are no public restrooms on the grounds. This is a bit inconvenient, especially upon arrival, since you might not have a chance to use the restroom right away. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful and, in this case, allowed me to use the restroom in the office—thank you very much for that!

The front desk staff was friendly, helpful, and some of them spoke German, which we really appreciated.

We can’t comment on the swimming pool, since we didn’t use it during our stay.

Had a wonderful vacation there

Espaço muito aconchegante rodeado de natureza, o pessoal da recepção muito eficiente em atendimento, recomendo totalmente este lugar para una férias em família. A praia fica a cinco minutos a pé . Também pude apreciar lindas imagens do pôr do sol enquanto caminhava pela praia. Os casinhas são muito bem equipados com os essenciais e sãobemespaçosas. Nota importante a pessoas tem que levar as suas próprias toalhas. Devo dizer que o espaço é bem amplo e seguro pode caminhar a qualquer hora durante a noite. A dez minutos de carro tem uma piscina bem grande para crianças e adultos passarem um ótimo momento de relaxamento.

I find it a bit difficult to rate the park, since there are some very good aspects, but also a few things that weren't so great.
Arrival: The staff was very friendly and spoke either German or English.
House: Well-fenced, though the exterior was already quite weathered, and a bag of fries was lying right next to the sidewalk in the bushes—judging by the color, it had been there for quite some time.
Inside, it had been cleaned, but there was definitely room for improvement. Stubborn dirt on the countertop hadn’t been removed. Cups were sticky before first use, and there was mold in the shower. The bedding—especially the uncovered pillows—looked linty and hairy. The bedding for the children’s room was missing, but I was able to get it—probably thanks to a stroke of luck—the next day after 5 p.m. When we opened the closet, it was crammed full of a previous guest’s bedding, including packaging trash.
Breakfast package: there was actually quite a bit in it, which is good—especially in the kids’ package—and very tasty; however, I don’t think it’s acceptable to pay a relatively high price and then receive expired butter. This definitely needs to be addressed.
The park itself is clean and well-maintained. The proximity to the beach and the beautiful surroundings are priceless. There are also plenty of free parking spots in the area. We did our grocery shopping in Breskens, though.
We didn’t take advantage of any other park amenities during our relatively short stay, so I can’t evaluate them.

The whole thing was very difficult. We booked a luxurious L Cube for 2,500 euros a week, but when we arrived, it was in a complete state of disrepair, both inside and out. Broken umbrellas lying outside, an unkempt garden, cobwebbed and dirty windows throughout the house—the cleaning left a lot to be desired—and a massive ant problem inside the house. After we complained, the resort took action: they turned two broken umbrellas into one working one, and the gardeners did their best—but, well, you just can’t make a long-neglected property look presentable in a short amount of time. The window cleaner only cleaned part of the windows—and only from the outside— the cleaning lady just did a half-hearted job, saying she couldn’t handle fixing everything, and another employee set up two ant traps—which did solve the problem in the kitchen but caused it to appear more frequently in the bathroom and bedroom. The park’s statement that the house was privately owned and the owner hadn’t booked maintenance through the park was very frustrating in every respect. The dining chairs were already damaged. There were clear differences between the houses—some looked exceptionally well-maintained, and we had one of the worst ones for the price, which was absolutely frustrating. The park itself was well-maintained, and the staff were friendly. To our regret, the indoor pool had been closed since November, even though it was specifically advertised on the website. The restaurant, however, was very good, and the area is gorgeous.
