We had booked this campground for 3 nights including private bathroom facilities. Upon arrival we were assigned a standard spot. Indicated that we had booked with private sanitary facilities but it took some convincing. We had to wait because the plumbing first had to be cleaned and the gas bottle was empty so had to be reconnected. On the map the location with sanitary facilities is shown differently than in real life, because we ended up at the very back of the campsite past all the mobile homes, not really cozy. This along a mega busy road where you get mad of the traffic because along rages. Now the plumbing, toilet seat loose, water pressure far to find, if you are in the shower you really have to do your best to get wet, as soon as you open the tap the lamp starts flashing, stove that does not work, stairs that is unsafe. The bbq is among the nettles and equipped with Escargots (snails) also the gas stove leaves much to be desired in terms of hygiene. On our last day my husband fell through the steps of the sanitary building, could have broken his legs. So for us never again!!!

Service-oriented campground. Beautiful plumbing. Relatively small sites. Nice all those fruit trees around you. Difficult to drive on due to narrow roads. This applies to larger campers and caravans. With east wind, ambient noise here is a thing. This is due to the proximity of Chemelot chemical complex, the A2 freeway and Maastricht Airport. Also the view of the chemical plants, flares, smell etc. does make this a special place. You either like it or you don't ....

Good nice camping neatly cared for

Five years ago we have also been here and now again. Truly a fine campground. Fine places, sun and shade, beautiful grounds with views of surrounding hills and mountains. Also good base for walks in the beautiful surroundings. Excellent sanitary facilities. Owner and staff are nice people, in for a chat or advice about the area. We totally enjoyed it again at Le Rotja and we will definitely come back!

A great place from which to take beautiful walks and/or bike rides. The hot tub is great! We used the group accommodation with 14 people. Also the sauna was wonderful.

Mobil home tout confort. Dommage proximité les uns des autres. Et L impossibilité d accès avec voiture pour décharger, seul petit chariot possible et pas de proposition d aide.

Beautiful new mountain lodge

They changed the type of accommodation without warning, we had a reservation in the apartment, when we arrived we found 5 adults in a bungalow for 4. That or fuck, and still insinuated some at the reception that it was our fault for not saying that we would go 5, when the apartment was expressly reserved for having enough capacity for us. Then we found out that as they have changed management company and no one in town wants to work in those conditions, they had to bring workers from other areas, which of course, need accommodation and left them the apartment (I do not think bad eye) but to warn of the changes. Beautiful campsite. Neat plumbing. In my opinion a little little little. I had to wait regularly for toilet and shower. Brasserie is super and within 5 minutes with the dog on the heath.

We stayed at the campsite (caravan site) at the very end of the season (to be taken into account for the review). Positive points: setting, location and rates. Friendly, pleasant staff. We had a bit of trouble seeing the 4 stars at the end of the season, as the campsite seemed a bit abandoned here and there, with a lot of outdated facilities and toilets in need of refreshment. Other than that, it's clear that it's running at full speed during peak season!
