Slightly different from pictures. Everything broken, floor set up due to moisture, shower is missing half of shower door, baseboards are loose, doors won't close. Oven can't bake sandwiches. Cutlery is too dirty for words. Not really recommended! Waste of money!

Unfortunately, I have to say that our stay at The Wylde Pad was a huge disappointment. For the price we paid for 2 people (€850 for a midweek in high season) the accommodation and service were way below par. It started upon arrival; the cottage was not complete and there were several defects. Crockery was missing, cooking utensils were broken, and essential things were missing like oil, coasters, or a salad bowl. Not what you expect from a luxury cottage. The hot tub, which belonged to the cottage we specifically booked, was a disaster. There were no instructions, the temperature was too low, in the end it turned out that the plug was not even in it! This while we immediately asked a staff member for help on Monday, because the button of the hot tub did nothing. She indicated that we just had to fire. This resulted in a lot of wasted wood (including extra we bought ourselves). The first day, after 4 hours of firing, we could not get the hot tub hot enough to get in. Also, the hot tub did not seem clean, and there was no scoop net to remove the wood chips. Finally, another employee helped us later in the week, after I had a quick feel in the shared hot tub. As it happens, that one was a lot warmer than ours. The wood that was at the cottage upon arrival was partially wet. The bathroom had no working exhaust, which made for a stuffy and humid environment. In addition, there was no rack or such where you could hang your towel to dry. Probably a known problem because, there was no smoke detector in the cottage, where there was a holder. I find the absence of a smoke detector combined with a wood-fired hot tub near the cottage irresponsible. When we reported these problems to the staff, there was no adequate response. Everything would be discussed with management, I even sent an email afterwards because I didn't want to write a bad review right away. But in the meantime the management did have a chance to resolve it nicely. It's a shame, because The Wylde Pad has potential. The location is nice, but the execution leaves much to be desired. It looks nice as you drive by, but I would not recommend Het Wylde Pad based on my experience.

Time out from everyday life

Perfect location to explore Ypres. Very friendly staff. -point: around the site there is a lot of noise (loud music with sports youth and a festival until 05:00 in the morning and the constant hum of the factory )

We just returned from a midweek Wildrijck. We wanted to go to a park from which you can walk and or bike into the forest and has good accommodations. All this came together in Wildrijck. Well maintained park and good voorxieningen.

Beautiful vacation park, beautiful cottages and right by the forest. Wonderful walks with our dogs.
