Quiet, clean and pleasant campsite Everything was perfect

Liked: We really enjoyed Camping Batenstein, the pitch was a great size and there was plenty of room between pitches so you didn't feel crowded. The facilities were really clean and the showers were amazing. Yes, you paid for a token but it was worth it for a decent shower where you didn't need to keep pressing a button. Didn't use the Wifi but it was a great 5g signal on the phone. We left our motorhome here and walked to the train station - an easy 15 min walk at most - and caught the train to Zaanse Schans, Amsterdam and Gouda. So much easier than worrying about parking etc. Trains were really frequent and nice and cool.

Liked: The campsite is located on the edge of a small village with a small cafe where you can get takeaway meals (we bought chips to go with our own-cooked meal) by the entrance. The camping zone (as opposed to the static caravans) is nicely shaded providing a wooded feel, backing on to farmland, well away from the quiet village road. There is a small supermarket in the village but we didn't require it. Facilities in the campsite were good - two maintained toilet blocks for the campers with hot showers (no tokens) and a typical small campsite shop selling necessities. An excellent children's playground. We were there for 2 nights on way back from our holiday in the Alps.

I liked: The tranquility of the campsite, the cleanliness of the common areas. The attention of all the people working in the restaurant and in particular Jose. A very salty man. I can not put more stars because it does not let me. I recommend it 100% whether you go with friends, family or as a couple.

We booked a pitch at this campsite for one night. The sanitary facilities are in average condition... the toilets aren't really clean, but I think that's more down to the visitors, who aren't very clean, and the same goes for the showers. There are some games for children, but nothing more.|For one night, this campsite is quite correct.

We've been here twice and what a change of scenery. The estate is wooded, very wild and the respect for nature is present and preserved. The activities are very varied and the team is very present. The region is magnificent, with fabulous sites and great meals. We'll definitely be back.

The campsite is exceptionally beautiful: it starts with the variety of accommodation (tent-tippi-tit-home-mobile home), continues with the exceptional location in a small forest and ends with the great hosts Maryam and Timon, who provide support with tips for excursions, offer excellent organic cuisine at a very good price in the evening and spoil guests in the morning with fresh baguettes and super tasty croissants.

Liked: Good size pitches, clean, great facilities, sound stay again and will be doing in the near future. Disliked: Toilet and shower facilities are clean but looking tired and may benefit from a refurb.

We stayed 3 nights at this campground. CAUTION if you reserve a spot on the tent meadow you may only place 1 tent. This was not clear when booking. The lady at reception was super rude, snapped at us and told us we had made the mistake and should go home! The manager still arranged a spare pitch for us at serious extra cost, for 2 tiny tractor tents. The so-called "heated" pool was freezing cold, the children had blue lips after half an hour. The lifeguard let children swim with their clothes on. There was also an Ibiza party with super loud beats until 1 am, this was not announced. The showers reeked of sewage. The campground was also expanded with a mass of vacation homes. This used to be a cozy family campground, but it certainly is not anymore....

The campsite is huge and very clean, even the bathrooms always clean, we had a problem with the air conditioner but it was promptly solved fortunately because the heat was unbelievable and fortunately because we were not looking for anything else!!!!!!
