Great and Chris and Karin are very friendly and helpful owners. Location is really nice decorated in French atmosphere.

A great stay at the Bois du Bardelet campsite, located in the heart of the forest, where the setting is exceptional and relaxing. Children and adults alike are delighted to try their hand at archery and mini golf, for example, and can also book a tennis lesson or a rowing boat to make the most of the refreshing pond. The indoor and outdoor pools are clean and well-maintained. There's also entertainment for children and adults during the day and evening. The restaurant offers a wide range of traditional dishes as well as snacks (their burgers are to die for). And if you're bringing your pooch along, there's also a free-access canipark inside the campsite, which our furry friends love. The mobile homes are clean, well-maintained and recent. And let's not forget the city or the ping-pong tables, which are freely accessible for children to enjoy. The little icing on the cake is the relaxation area (as if we weren't relaxed enough already ^^). For a fee, you'll have access to a Jacuzzi and massages given by a professional. The team is top-notch, helpful, friendly and pleasant. As you can see, we had an excellent stay at Camping des Bois du Bardelet, a pleasant family campsite.

We had booked a camping barrel with air conditioning on this site at short notice due to the heat. I had a good impression on the phone, but unfortunately it was different later on. When we arrived at reception, the lady didn't make a particularly competent impression and it was very noisy. At the end of check-in, I only found out where the barrel I had booked was located when I asked. If you have fruit trees on the pitch, someone should also collect the fallen apples. Nobody did this during our stay. It looks unkempt. To the barrel: Be careful: the air conditioning, which was the only reason for our booking, is completely useless in these barrels. It is installed under the bed and the cold collects there, but only cools the barrel under the bed and a little at the front of the benches. Up in bed, you get the impression that you have booked a barrel sauna and not accommodation with air conditioning. We immediately complained to reception and would have liked to leave, but once you have checked in and paid, which is required when booking, this is supposedly no longer possible. The only alternative we were offered was a much more expensive apartment. In the end, we at least received the concession that we could sleep next to the barrel in our own roof tent. Of course, this was not what we had booked. If we had wanted a pitch, we would have booked one! The barrel has a picnic bench with a table and there is a water tap. The location close to the tiny sanitary facilities is fine. On a positive note, the beds were made up properly and the Wi-Fi worked well. But then comes the catch, even if the three of us could have slept in the barrel, it would have been annoying. The "crib" at the front creaks and squeaks loudly with every movement, so only for children who don't move. We were advised to simply sleep with the window open if the air conditioning wasn't working. Unfortunately, the windows don't have any insect protection and even a brief airing brings all kinds of animals into the house. What's much worse is that the window at the back of the bed opens inwards, which means that the dirt on the outside of the window, including pollen, falls directly onto the mattress. You can't leave the window open properly at night because there's no room to lie down. Sanitary facilities: The first impression is not very positive, in the cabins it is only clean directly after cleaning, but they are functional. There are not enough usable showers. The fact that several showers are closed for maintenance in the high season and the men are queuing is an absurdity. Better maintenance would be desirable here and problems could be solved quickly. In the upper sanitary facilities you have to get hot water for washing up from a tap next to the washbasin. Pools: All the pools are far too cold for our taste and we didn't enjoy using them. I expect warm water, especially at a spa. The baby pool was by far the coldest pool, I wouldn't put a baby in there. There is also an animal in the pool, which apparently used to splash, but now there is a metal part or thread on top of it, which I see as a risk of injury. Even when there was a pool supervisor there for a short time, they didn't enforce the rules, they were just there. There were always enough sun loungers. We only had access to the swimming pond on request. The pond has a diving platform and shaded areas on the lawn. However, we didn't use it as it was too cold and a sign warned that there may be germ contamination. There are ball cannons in the indoor play area. Unfortunately, they were defective or off. The reception staff didn't know if they had ever worked. The groundsman was not available. Overall, the place was disappointing and we won't be going back.

For 5 people in a bungalow in the first week of July, count €1,000 per week. 150 € per night per person. If you bring your camper van or tent, it's still €80 per person per night. This is the price since Huttopia bought the municipal campsite. So it's top-of-the-range. Welcome to the rich vacationers... For the rest of you, find a friend who lives nearby. Because Bozel is splendid! There are lots of free activities for kids (skateboarding, biking, zip-lining), as well as paying activities for the rich, plus a great lake, plus extraordinary mountains. I've been coming for vacations with my friends for 40 years.

Lovely quiet park, our cottage module special Wellness 6 persons K5 is in a fantastic place. Overlooking the corn field. Inside everything top, fine beds. Clean and neat. This cottage has a jacuzzi and sauna, here you sit wonderfully private from the park they regularly check the water. An oasis of calm. The park still has a pool this is a bit on the small side , restaurant, playgrounds sand and water playground, pool table / darts.

Very nice complex, also for children with table tennis table and soccer field. House is very well equipped, everything you need inside. We will be back.

Fine sanitary facilities, there is a small swimming pool and fun entertainment for the kids every day. From 5am onwards you can hear traffic on the nearby road very well. The message that this is only school buses and tractors is simply not true. Precisely a campsite you want to wake up to the birds and pleasant chatter, not traffic. We asked the reception to fill 2 ankle-deep holes and all we got upon inquiry was, "we didn't think it was necessary", "we talked to the neighbors" and "we don't have any sand to fill", ending with "I'll call the owner". I felt decidedly no service. Overall pricey for what you get. Ps no for the traffic I didn't go to the reception; after the hassle with the holes I feel little hospitality and also I don't see how she wants to magic away traffic. Pps yes the reservation is under my partner's name so you won't find me in the booking system but we are really here.

Very pleasant

This site is one of several along the Normandy coast which give easy access to the port of Caen. It is tight; you will not get a double wheel base caravan around it and I reckon a large motorhome would struggle. Our ‘van is 6.5m and reversing onto the pitch was an experience as the ‘road’ around the site is so narrow. Having said that, the pitches are boarded by hedges, the toilet and shower block (separate ladies block) clean and best of all there is direct access to the huge beach. The sand stretches for miles and if you have a dog they can dig and mess about in the water even in the summer which beats England. We were here just before the 80th D Day commemorations so the place was full of events and people from all over the world, however due to its special place in our history there is so much to do and see here whenever you come. Pegasus Bridge is just down the road and a little further on beyond Caen we’d recommend the Canadian museum and memorial, one of the best museums we visited in Normandy.|This is a good base from which to visit the Normandy landing beaches and is an obvious stop over after or prior to using the ferry. One word of warning, they shut reception at lunchtime and there is very little room for arriving ‘vans and motorhomes to park up….

Camping with beautiful location, lovely pitches. We actually find it very well maintained.(better than 11 years ago when we stayed here for a week) You have to put your caravan on a fixed spot which is marked with a tile, leaving the rest of the pitch overgrown with grass. |Sanitary facilities are fairly new and very clean. What I personally liked was the gift for the dog:-)We love coming to the Veluwe and will definitely return to this campsite.

Liked: Great, clean, family friendly campsite. Showers and washing up areas were spotless. Pool area was great for the kids. Saverne is also a lovely little town. Definitely recommend seeing Chateur Haut Barr for some lovely views. Also the beer served at the campsite snack bar was delicious 👌🏼

Sorry because the place would also be nice and even quite clean.....but the managers just can't seem to be nice....MAI!!!|Always annoyed and never a smile--not even chatting in the evening on the veranda, which at 11 p.m. you get reprimanded.
