Campground is austere but clean. Not enough activities for families with children

Great park with lots to do for the whole family. Unfortunately we arrived when the pool was closed for repairs and the weather was not suitable for the outdoor pool. Lots of vehicles to hire. The houses are neat and clean. There are lots of towns around for shopping and sightseeing. There are lots of events and playgrounds for children. It is definitely worth it

At first glance, the price-performance ratio of the site is fine. Unfortunately, our wash house was mostly dirty and the showers were cold every day. In general, there are not enough wash houses on the site and constantly queuing for the toilet is really annoying. Wifi is there, but not usable - hardly any reception. There are not enough sun loungers on the beach. You are forced to rent a lounger, which is very expensive for a longer stay! Bar serves overpriced drinks in plastic cups. Highlight: Proximity to the town & saltwater pool.

Only been in restaurant. Great location, nice and quiet in healthy environment. Restaurant with outdoor terrace. A beautiful place, set in beautiful garden full of flowers. Very good and ample opportunity for children to play. Enjoyed yawn, drink and the rest. Definitely recommended!

The campground itself is quite nice. Spacious sites between tall pine trees and the plumbing is reasonably clean. Could be cleaned a little better. Dirt on the walls remains for a week. Refurbishment would also be appropriate. Nice pool with good facilities such as showers, toilets and changing rooms. Sufficient sunbeds and umbrellas and sunbathing area. Restaurant is fine and the staff nice and helpful, also at the reception. Guards plenty present, they too are friendly. You can still whine about pine resin and bird droppings, but then you have to go indoor camping. What is definitely a turnoff is the through road along the campground that is used as a racetrack in the evening and at night. Even worse was the disco and some outdoor festival that went on quite a few nights until 4 a5 o'clock with a noise level that made you feel like your tent was 5 meters from the stage. This is really not normal. The next vacation will not be here, I quite value my nightly nap.

A beautiful place with fresh air, but the food is moderate, I didn't really like it personally, no mosqiuto's

We stayed for a week in a lodge at camping Nieuwpoort. Had a wonderful week. Accomodation was clean upon arrival. Nothing to complain about. Fresh and tastefully decorated. Nice beds. Private parking within walking distance of lodge. Camping has neat facilities such as supermarket , snack bar and restaurant. Staff is friendly. Order sandwiches via app, and pick them up in the morning. You can walk to Nieuwpoort city, Nieuwpoort bath can be done by bike. Beautiful surroundings for trips. Entertainment for kids with mini disco and regular activities like music, show or bingo. Swimming pools (1 cold and 1 heated) and slide were neat. We already knew Kompas camping Westende, but now also Nieuwpoort. Would love to come back to both.

We were in chalet Taos 6p Rooms: pluses: 2 bathrooms, dishwasher. Cons: step at door a challenge for people with mobility problems, lock front door is not easy to lock, oven did not get hot (is old gas oven). Park: pluses: playgrounds okay, swimming pond great for swimming. As a parent you can sit / lie on the beach, wooded area, car can be close to chalet places, close to Turnhout. Minuses: no camping store. Possible to use app to order sandwiches and vending machine present where you can get food from. Restaurant pricey. Tasty/good mussels eaten. Few parking spaces at restaurant. Service: Explanation somewhat short. Too little staff in restaurant.

We were supposed to stay at the campsite for ten days but we left three days early due to the poor condition of the campsite. Since we went three days early we wanted a discount but they wouldn't give it to us. The campsite is in very poor condition and the toilets are very dirty. In addition to the fact that the toilets are dirty, there are also very few of them. When we showered there was always cold water. We didn't feel safe at the campsite as there is no barrier in front of the campsite or cameras around the campsite (some of our belongings were stolen). We had to walk almost 1km for the rubbish. Our campsite had almost no shade and there were a lot of holes.

Spent a pleasant week in a tent on a pitch planted with trees in this lovely family campsite. The owners were welcoming, smiling and attentive to your needs. Covered swimming pool, great in case of rain, and clean sanitary facilities. Some sites to visit are accessible by bike or on foot, such as Rocamadour, Rocher des aigles... We'll be back without hesitation. Good season to you

We had wonderful days at the campsite, nice and quiet and beautiful chalet. All the trimmings, and you can sit outside on the terrace in your garden. The restaurant is beautiful, a nice look, both inside and outside. You can eat and drink, it's very friendly, it's relaxed and the children can play with sand and water. In bad weather they can play games, which are all in a closet, and there is even a playroom. The plumbing looks great, you have family showers which are very practical. The swimming pool and children's pool is also great, and everywhere along the paths are beautiful flowers, whole bordes wonderfully landscaped,it all exudes a very relaxed atmosphere. The owners Bas and Annemiek make you feel very welcome, and are ready if you have any questions. Also the other staff is all very friendly and helpful. In short, a great campsite for young and old. Oh yes and you can also walk behind the campsite very nice and the Pieterpad is also nearby.

We had a wonderful week's vacation with Tinne and Ineke. Two very hospitable and warm people who let you enjoy their domain with great enthusiasm. Explore the beautiful region during the day and in the evening possibly enjoy a delicious meal together or just relax in your own place. Great!
