Ettelbruck was our first stop on our way to south and we stayed for a couple of days. The location is pretty urban but green. Clean, well organized camping. You can online reserve the pitch you would like to stay on. The hillside pitches have lovely green views. River side is not that impressive. Be aware that if you choose towards the end of the camping, you need walk 5mins to reach the facilities. There is toilet paper, soap and warm water available.

We stayed as a family of four (kids 9 and 13) in a Cahutte for 11 nights in August and had a wonderful time. The setting is incredible: the site is spacious and the river Vecht is perfect for swimming (although you need to be a fairly confident swimmer) and paddleboarding; the pitches are well spaced; there are several playing areas for kids; and the bar/terrace area is spacious and relaxed. Drinks, pastries, bread, basic groceries and pizzas are all available onsite, although quite pricey (even by Dutch standards!). The accommodation itself was great. Lots of private space inside and out, plus all the equipment you might need and it was great to have a private shower and toilet. My only tip would be to bring your own pillows as those supplied aren’t great. The area around the site is also worth mentioning as it’s beautiful and really not very touristy. We cycled for miles (thanks to the amazing cycling infrastructure in the Netherlands); visiting nearby towns; ran; canoed around Zwolle; visited Amsterdam and the Hoge Veluwe National Park; and even took a trip across the border to Germany.

The location would be good, it would be clean, it would be relatively cheap, but.... It makes no sense to allow access to the camper stop only from 9 pm and to provide electricity only from 10 pm, I don't need a camper stop for that. And the campsite itself is far too expensive for a one-night stopover. We didn't stay and definitely wouldn't recommend it!

Fine campground to stay in. Service at the campsite is nice with sandwiches in the morning and a restaurant for the rest of the day. Beautiful surroundings!

having been to many campsites, this one doesn't deserve 4 stars, but 2 stars. the pitches are not delimited (separation with washing lines), all the pitches are really leaning, you need to provide wedges, very few showers and toilets, and very dirty (cobwebs everywhere behind the toilet doors). bring a large extension cord (minimum 50 m), as the pitches are a long way from the electricity supply, no cohesion between the reception staff and the boat shuttle manager! the setting is no excuse for 4 stars.

Spacious campsite. Lots of nice spots with plenty of shade. Friendly staff. Unfortunately only a real plague of mosquitoes and there is nothing against it on the campsite to obtain also could have been warned before the first evening haha.

Nice open field with electricity and plenty of space. Friendly Dutch employee, does her best. Furthermore, the campground seems not quite ready for opening; for example, the showers are not quite finished e.g. (nice hot showers by the way) and the area around it, as well as the bar. Swimming pool is within walking distance, with a great atmosphere. Take 'deet' with you, because many mosquitoes!

Incredibly hospitable and helpful people. Room for all types of campers at a good price. Lots of game and reading material to borrow, good fast wifi. Very nice location with good views.
