Huttopia Bourg Saint-MauriceBeautiful surroundings, but this Huttopia campground disappoints. The pitches are cramped, and make an unkempt impression. The fact that it is completely filled with cars in high season does not help. In the middle of the campground is a camper spot, which is a large concrete plain to look out on. Not exactly in line with the natural camping that Huttopia claims to strive for. The plumbing is dated, dirty and certainly inadequate in high season. Count on queues at the showers, and you will regularly miss both soap and toilet paper. Huttopia's response to this will be that they maintain the sanitary facilities three times a day, but apparently this is insufficient. The area is beautiful, and definitely worth visiting. But adjust your expectations especially downward for this Huttopia campsite.

Prachtige omgeving, maar deze Huttopia-camping stelt teleur. De plaatsen zijn krap, en maken een onverzorgde indruk. Dat het in het hoogseizoen helemaal volstaat met auto’s helpt daar niet bij. In het midden van de camping is een camperplaats, wat een grote betonnen vlakte is om op uit te kijken. Niet bepaald in lijn met het natuurlijk kamperen dat Huttopia claimt na te streven. Het sanitair is gedateerd, viezig en zeker in het hoogseizoen ontoereikend. Reken op wachtrijen bij de douches, en je zult regelmatig misgrijpen bij zowel zeep als toiletpapier. De reactie van Huttopia hierop zal zijn dat ze drie keer per dag het sanitair onderhouden, maar kennelijk is dat onvoldoende. De omgeving is prachtig, en zeker het bezoeken waard. Maar stel je verwachtingen vooral naar beneden bij voor deze Huttopia-camping.
