What a relaxing stay on the Utrecht Ridge! Wonderfully quiet and a beautiful, well maintained, tent in a very nice place. Hospitable reception, highly recommended! Veronica

I have been this weekend with my wife and I do not recommend it at all. A very dirty campsite, a lot of slovenliness in the facilities, noisy and no security. We are very used to going to campsites and this is the first time we are disappointed with one.... We only stayed 9 hours and my wife left full of rashes on the skin...The price is very abusive for the quality offered and the photos have little to do with reality...You can enter from 16:00 in the afternoon but you have to leave the next day before 11:00 in the morning...or 24 hours for 96 €... Take a good look because there are hotels in the surroundings with better prices.

Recreatiepark Tusken de Marren is not a hotel or leisure park, it is a park of vacation homes on the water.

With Taxibus together with colleague also with Taxibus waited for 16 men of bachelor party but were somewhere else nearby so drove there and brought the men to drachten center .

Quiet campsite, very very clean, warm and friendly welcome, accommodating owner, good atmosphere in general. I recommend, thanks again.

The location is nice and close to beach. I only give two stars, however, because the so-called animation team - intended to entertain children in particular and adults in general - is simply too noisy. They blast Italian dance music from an elevated, single mono-speaker making the pool area too noisy. It also affects all the apartments. I recorded 80 decibels in our balcony (equivalent to right next to a highway). The animation team suffers from a classic misunderstanding of how to graduate entertainment activities - they don’t understand that sometimes less is more. They speak over the music like a self indulgent DJ, sing along to songs etc.. You can imagine that with a mono speaker and no great singing voices such a cocktail is less than desirable. Add to that they are reacting negatively to requests for a bit of silence. So if you enjoy relaxing in only the noises made by happy children playing think about WHEN you book. I am told the animation team is only active July to first week of September - I recommend booking to avoid this period. As I said the place is nice, just avoid the period when the animation team is active. Following the answer from Camping Rosa I have this to add: I was not there since June 1st, rather 14 July - 23 July. I never attempted video calls or the like, I just prefer natural noise over rather ghastly music from mono speaker. I don’t advise against visiting Camping Rosa but if you want less noise avoid booking in the high season. There Camping Eden Park nearby is much quieter in my experience .

Beautiful campground in beautiful surroundings. Nice neat tents and cabins. Very natural set up. Nice entertainment for kids. The spots that overlook the field are very nice. That's where the paragliders come down in the morning. Very fun to do. If you have tent a little closer to the river the loud noise of the river can keep you from sleeping. Two swimming pools, not too big but big enough and clean. At night and in the morning it cools down a lot. Great for sleeping but don't forget a thick sweater and long pants. Toilets/showers are only in 2 places (not spread out) so you have to walk quite a bit (even at night). Catering is limited to a bar, fresh bread and ice creams, no restaurant. Bad cappuccino for 4.20! Beautiful surroundings. The most beautiful cols for cycling. You also cycle so to the glacier. Nice village there with a few restaurants.

The outdoors

Great place to stay for a relaxing holiday with our family. Nice lake views for cabins in front 2 rows. Water-fun for everyone at nearby lake activities center.

Location and tranquility was really nice. The cottage was just exactly as prescribed so totally fine.

A beautiful but really boring park there is little life. Depends of course on the people who come there. The play park was much and much too small, so was the pool area. No nice courtyard with stores and there is one boring restaurant where the staff cannot handle a little crowding. The stand is nice but the slide hurt the buttocks. There was no mop to mop up the dogs' accidents even though it says so in the brochure. The fence around the caravan was ideal, I could let the dogs run loose without a leash without them running away. For youth from 12 there was not much to nothing to do.Fortunately, my daughter with 2 children and 2 dogs was not there for 3 weeks.
