A nicely maintained campsite between railroad and provincial road. 4km from Schagen, 15km from the beach.

Liked: Very friendly English spoken well. Lovely couple who are building this place up. Peaceful with bird song all day and evening with wandering Dutch rabbits ☺️ We booked personal toilet and shower for €6 extra per night which was worth it. 10 mins drive from Jumbo supermarket with lots of other shops you will need. 20 min drive from ferry to Texol if you desire that experience we did not enjoy Texol. Owner keeps strict eye on noise levels from other campers Bread delivery is available if you require. Free good WiFi Very safe Disliked: Checkin time is incorrect it should be 3pm not 2pm as stated on pitch up

We have been coming for years and always feel a warm welcome. The campground's 60th anniversary celebration was a highlight to attend.

An excellent stay, with a warm welcome from Anne and Philippe, who are always available, and a change of scenery provided by the accommodation, the decor, the peace and quiet, the frog concert and the pleasure of a swim in a natural pool. The camp is well-situated for visiting the surrounding area, so don't hesitate to enjoy breakfast in the sun or in front of the stove, and discover the nearby BOUI BOUI guinguette in an unusual setting,

This cottage is ideal for families, The kids loved the bunk beds, and we appreciated the spacious layout, It felt like a home away from home, and the owners were very welcoming,

This tiny house is quite a vibe! Super cozy with a cute fireplace and big windows for all the nature views, Perfect place to chill after exploring the Veluwe, 10/10 for aesthetics

Quiet (a little too quiet for us) campground. Sanitary facilities in good order. Maybe if the campground is full 3 toilets a bit few but there is also a urinal for the men. Showers are really nice and well warm. Heated swimming pool is also an advantage. Good bakery 1 km away. Not much to do in the neighborhood but good base for st Malo, mont Saint Michel and Dinan. Very friendly English owners. Bar is not much. But delicious burgers with fries delivered to the spot.

Beautiful lake with sandy beach, for the little ones there is a swimming pool. You can also buy something to drink and eat

We have been there 15 days and have been to a few other places but this was a disappointment. A place that could do so much more but the potential gsbz is kept down. Unfortunately the price is far too high. You could be informed in advance that there is no toilet paper, soap and towels (or hand dryer), possibly give away a first roll of toilet paper to the guests at check-in. And the toilet paper should be replenished regularly in the MiniShop. Out of a 15-day stay, all the compartments of the vending machine were only filled for the last 3 days. With the price you would assume that showers are included, but unfortunately we were proved wrong here too. A cleaner could also go through the ladies toilets again, especially in the morning when most of the guests were there. The building rubble in almost all areas, even where there is obviously no construction going on e.g. chemical toilet emptying could be removed The grass at the soccer field could be mowed so that you can use the field. We also found it a pity that the blue water shower at the lake was not usable for half the time of our stay, as the meadow there had not yet been mowed. This only happened after 26.7.2023. We were also very shocked by the garbage that was spread like a red thread across the site, from empty drinks cans lying around somewhere for days to items of clothing such as slippers at the children's playground or socks. Sanitary buildings could do with a bit more care, and not just on the inside. In general, we were very sad and shocked about the campsite in general. Time and money would have to be invested in many parts of the site to make it more attractive again. We are aware that it is a lot of work given the size of the site, but there are staff who can be employed. The side by the lake is a little more attractive than the side by the carp pond. We went for a walk there and were horrified by the condition of the unkempt plots (as on the other side too) and the untrimmed hedges. The weeds are allowed to grow wherever they want and the garbage is hoping for the next wind to carry it a little further. Parking in any area is clearly described in the house rules, it should be parked in the designated parking spaces, but only very few people stick to it, especially the more expensive the car, the more you can probably get away with. Dilapidated buildings that seem to have been vegetating for ages and generally unkempt paths and corners. Night's rest is also only available in written form, the implementation fails and also the fact that the night's rest is observed. For example, someone was partying until half past two directly behind ours and you couldn't sleep until then. It was a different story with the seasonal guests, who actually lowered the music and general volume a lot (thank you!) There is no bread roll service, but apart from this mini market (a kind of snack machine) there is no other way to shop (in the vending machine even a roll of toilet paper, which is actually free everywhere as standard these days, costs €1.50 which is really cheeky. And what's more, although it's not available in the toilet buildings, it's probably refilled far too rarely, but I've already mentioned that above). On the whole, YOU COULD GET SO MUCH MORE OUT OF THIS PLACE BUT YOU WON'T SEE IT... although...when I look at the reviews of the last few years, it's probably not wanted. Addendum. By the way, we had booked the late checkout. Of course this costs extra. We should still have left the site by 1 pm at the latest as the site would be occupied again straight after us.
