Very pleasant and well-kept place. Very good restaurant nearby. Remarkable location. We recommend it.

A campsite that is getting on in years. Something for permanent campers. Although good for children, the surroundings are beautiful, great park nearby, about 15 min walk. The dog can also run freely in the water there. A park for people from the neighborhood.

Camping Sonnenberg (ACSI Camping Card and SVR) is very quietly located on a dead-end road with little traffic. There are spots on sloping terrain and on more flat areas. We could choose a spot ourselves. There were already some attractive places reserved, probably by people who had been here before. We found an excellent spot. When the campsite manager leads you with his scooter up to the campsite, you have to make sure you keep up the speed, otherwise there is a chance that your front wheels will skid on the loose stones. In the town of Müden there is a special water mill and a church with a beautiful interior. By bike you can do your shopping at the Lidl in Faßberg. That is 6 km cycling. A nice bike ride goes to Hermannsburg, a round trip of 17 km in total. The bike paths in the area are mostly passable, sometimes the dirt path was so loose that we had to walk.

Camping Elbeling (Campingcard ACSI) is beautifully situated on the Elbe. You can cycle onto the Elbe Road via the rear entrance. You will cycle through a unique area with many birds, including storks. In the village of Bleckede you can do good shopping. The LIDL is 8.3 km by bike if you go along a largely free cycle path along the Elbe. At Bleckede you can cross by ferry. You then enter former East German territory. You can still see traces of it, for example the watchtowers. You cycle almost always on separate cycle paths on or behind the dike. At Hitzacker you can take a ferry back to the other bank. A nice bike ride leads to Neetze. We had a good time at this campground.

Vacation home was great, you could enjoy it despite bad weather

Last week we visited the friese balloon festivals from the campsite. What an ideal combination the campsite is located a few kilometers from Joure.

Beautiful cottages, beautiful wetlands

Last week I visited Domain D'Essendieras with my band Ducktape. We facilitated a whole evening of live music for the guests of the sunday night barbeque. The owner, Floris, is clearly very passionate about the chateau and goes out of his way to create the best possible experience for his guests. The chateau is incredibly beautiful and rustic, the barbecue was delicious and the swimming pool was the cleanest I've ever seen. Also, the staff is incredibly friendly (shout-out to Ben aka the fries master!).

Lovely campsite, every place beautiful view. Sweet and hospitable owners. Because owner speaks Dutch almost only Dutch-speaking holes.

Well-equipped campground Friendly and knowledgeable staff. We will definitely come back one day.
