Camping de MeibeekSpent 2 nights at this campground in tiny house the barn owl. What an incredibly cute and cozy little house it is. Officially for 4 people but I personally would find that really too much for this area. But with two full-sized bedrooms it will do just fine. The stairs upstairs are very narrow and steep. Because of this I would not go into this cottage with young children under 6. There is hot water and a toilet but no shower in the cottage. The central heating system in the normal toilet building was broken so we had to go quite a distance to shower. That was not so pleasant. Also, the pallet stove in the cottage was defective so we got a small jet heater which was really too little to heat up the cottage. Campground Plus Points: Nice playground. Attractive small fields with many trees and shrubs (except field chestnut, which we found not so cozy looking) Many birds singing all day Very friendly owners who want to do everything for their customers Beautiful rural setting with many hiking and biking trails Outdoor pool with cozy terrace in the summer months What I found a little less: Poorly lit at night so you really need to carry a flashlight in the dark Only 2 toilet blocks which personally seems a bit small to me at full occupancy. Quite remote so a car is a must. No camping store for a forgotten message.

2 nachten doorgebracht op deze camping in tiny house de kerkuil. Wat een ontzettend schattig en knus huisje is dat. Officieel voor 4 personen maar dat zou ik persoonlijk echt te veel vinden voor deze oppervlakte. Maar met twee volwaardige slaapkamers kan het prima. De trap naar boven is zeer smal en steil. Daardoor zou ik niet met jonge kinderen onder 6 in dit huisje gaan. Er is warm water en een toilet maar geen douche in het huisje. De cv installatie in het normale toilet gebouw was defect waardoor we een flink eindje op pad moesten om te douchen. Dat was niet zo prettig. Ook was de palletkachel in het huisje defect waardoor we een klein straal kacheltje kregen wat eigenlijk te weinig was om het huisje op te warmen. Pluspunten camping: Leuke speeltuin Sfeervolle kleine veldjes met veel bomen en struiken (behalve veld kastanje, die vonden wij dan ook niet zo gezellig ogen) Veel vogels die de hele dag zingen Erg vriendelijke eigenaars die alles voor hun klanten willen doen Mooie landelijke omgeving met veel wandel en fiets routes Buitenzwembad met gezellig terras in de zomer maanden Wat mij wat minder vonden: 'S avonds slecht verlicht waardoor je in het donker echt een zaklamp mee moet dragen Maar 2 toiletgebouwen wat mij persoonlijk wat weinig lijkt bij een volle bezetting. Redelijk afgelegen waardoor een auto wel een must is. Geen camping winkel voor een vergeten boodschap.

Het huisje was prachtig en enorm sfeervol. De luxe was een verademing. We konden helemaal tot rust komen in de bosrijke omgeving, het enige wat je hoorde was vogeltjes (en soms een straaljager, maar dat was niet storend)
