Geweldig ontvangen door havenmeester Marcel die ons hielp met aanleggen. Ontzettend gezellige haven met prima faciliteiten. Zo konden we ook fietsen lenen om er even op uit te gaan.

De WeelderikBit of a shame about that 12m3 diesel generator that starts running at 11 o'clock every night (and makes a shit noise. If you call that "self-sufficient. At least it is not sustainable. Really nice cottages though. Private pool and sauna are fine. Nearest village or store is 3 km away and the forest where you sit against is really very small. For a real hiking forest, you must first take the car / bike again. That diesel generator will cost you 2 stars.

Beetje jammer van die 12m3 diesel-generator die elke avond om 11 uur begint te draaien (en een pokke herrie maakt. Als je dat 'zelfvoorzienend' noemt. Duurzaam is het in ieder geval niet. Echt wel hele mooie huisjes verder hoor. Eigen zwembadje en sauna zijn prima. Dichtsbijzijnde dorpje of winkel is 3 km verder en het bos waar je tegenaan zit is echt heel klein. Voor een echt wandelbos moet je eerst weer een eindje met de auto/fiets. Die diesel-generator kost je 2 sterren.

Medrose CampingWonderful family campsite in a beautiful location in the equally beautiful Ardeche. Vacation feeling at its best: Freedom, sun, swimming, music, crickets, the flowing stream, delicious food in the cozy restaurant. I found a super nice spot to do early morning yoga. This campsite reminded me of the wonderful summer vacations to southern France with my parents, back in the 70's. Thank you Lynda, we had a wonderful time and will definitely come back again!

Heerlijke familie camping op een schitterende locatie in de evenzo mooie Ardèche. Op en top vakantiegevoel: Vrijheid, zon, zwemmen, muziek, krekels, het stromende beekje, heerlijk eten in het gezellige restaurant. Ik vond een supermooi plekje om in de vroege ochtend yoga te doen. Deze camping deed me herinneren aan de heerlijke zomervakanties naar Zuid-Frankrijk met mijn ouders, back in the 70’s. Dank je wel Lynda, we hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad en komen zeker nog eens terug!

Buytenplaets SuyderseeNB review from 2 years ago, hopefully by now eea changed.... Three stars because we think the price-quality ratio is not quite right. In itself a nice idea all those different and special overnight places. Camping is spacious. Nice pasture with alpacas, sheep and rabbits and enough play opportunities for children. I just wouldn't go for the tipi tent. The tent has a nice little terrace with chairs and a fire pit. Unfortunately, the tent is mostly in the shade, so it is green out and feels clammy. Also, the tent is open in several places. We were really unlucky with the weather and during a heavy shower a mattress got wet and leaked at the entrance. Unfortunately, this also gave pests access to the tent, the last morning several items had been eaten (by a rat?) (see photos). Thus, the,e accommodation did not meet our expectations. We had expected a little more comfort for 90 euros per night. The 'general cooking place' from the description is a dilapidated shack with 2 gas burners. Could use some maintenance. Furthermore, we found the campsite restless at night, maybe that's why this campsite just doesn't suit us (our kids go to sleep at 9:30 in the vacations, but there was running around and cycling and shouting past the tent until at least 11pm). Staff really does do his (her) best, the bike race we found very fun and enthusiastically guided. So for us not quite a good match, but in the end exceptional night 😉 and also slept quite well. Update; year later tried the trekkersgut in Swifterbant, liked it a lot better!

NB review van 2 jaar geleden, hopelijk inmiddels eea veranderd... Drie sterren omdat we de prijs-kwaliteit verhouding niet helemaal vinden kloppen. Op zich een leuk idee al die verschillende en bijzondere overnachtingsplekken. Camping is ruim opgezet. Leuke dierenweide met alpacas, schapen en konijnen en genoeg speelmogelijkheden voor kinderen. Ik zou alleen niet voor de tipitent gaan. De tent heeft een leuk terrasje met stoelen en een vuurplaats. De tent staat helaas wel voornamelijk in de schaduw, waardoor deze groen uitgeslagen is en klammig aanvoelt. Ook is de tent op verschillende plekken open. We hadden echt pech met het weer en tijdens een flinke bui werd een matras nat en lekte het bij de ingang. Helaas heeft ongedierte hierdoor ook toegang tot de tent, de laatste ochtend waren verschillende spullen aangevreten (door een rat?) (zie foto's). De,e accommodatie voldeed daarmee niet aan onze verwachtingen. Wij hadden iets meer comfort verwacht voor 90 euro per nacht. De 'algemene kookplaats' uit de omschrijving is een vervallen hokje met 2 gaspitjes. Kan wel wat onderhoud gebruiken. Verder vonden we de camping s avonds onrustig, misschien past deze camping daarom gewoon niet zo bij ons (onze kinderen gaan om half 10 slapen in de vakantie, maar er werd tot minimaal 23 uur rondgerend en gefietst en geschreeuwd langs de tent). Personeel doet echt wel zijn (haar) best, de fietsrace vonden we erg leuk en enthousiast begeleid. Voor ons dus niet helemaal een goede match, maar uiteindelijk wel bijzonder overnacht 😉 en ook best lekker geslapen. Update; jaar later de trekkersgut in Swifterbant geprobeerd, beviel een stuk beter!

Camping Luna del MonteOn the border of Umbria and Tuscany is the campsite Luna del Monte, where we have been enjoying ourselves for a week and a half now. The campground is just how we like a campground: small but very nice. With a few pitches and different types of Vodatent safari tents, lots of greenery, a bar, swimming pool, relaxed atmosphere and on every side amazing views with spectacular sunsets. On the hilltop lies the village of Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, voted one of the most beautiful small villages in Tuscany and Umbria. You can eat fantastic food there and also here you can see far away. From the campsite you can walk there in ten minutes. Just as you can go straight into nature via one of the many beautiful biking and hiking trails. Because the campground is located high in the hills, towns and beaches are a bit further away. Op de grens van Umbrië en Toscane ligt camping Luna del Monte, waar we nu al anderhalve week op en top genieten. De camping is zoals wij een camping graag hebben: klein maar heel fijn. Met een paar kampeerplekken en verschillende typen safaritenten van Vodatent, veel groen, een barretje, zwembad, relaxte sfeer en aan iedere kant waanzinnige uitzichten met spectaculaire zonsondergangen. Op de heuveltop ligt het dorpje Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, uitgeroepen tot één van de mooiste kleine dorpjes van Toscane en Umbrië. Je kan er fantastisch eten en ook hier kijk je ver weg. Vanaf de camping loop je er in tien minuten heen. Net als dat je zo via één van de vele mooie fiets- en wandelpaden de natuur in gaat. Omdat de camping hoog in de heuvels ligt, zijn stadjes en strandjes wat verder rijden. Maar ook die zijn echt het bezoeken waard.
