Visit Casa-Museo Salvador Dalí
A visit to Cadaqués is not complete without the Casa-Museo Salvador Dalí in Portlligat. This was his residence and studio, and it still exudes the surrealistic atmosphere. In addition, you can discover contemporary art in galleries such as Galería Cadaqués and Galería Taller Fort, or dive into the world of Dalí at the Museu de Cadaqués, which offers temporary exhibitions about his life and work.

Experience the local gastronomy
The Empordà region is known for its ‘mar i muntanya’ cuisine: fish, meat, tapas, and local wines. In Cadaqués you’ll find delicious restaurants within walking distance of the park. Enjoy local fish dishes at Can Rafa, original tapas at Es Cantó, or Mediterranean fusion at Gastrobar Raviyu. Don’t forget to try the local specialty: tapones de Cadaqués – sweet cookies shaped like a cava cork.
Discover nature on foot
Nature and tranquility lovers can indulge themselves with the walking trails around Cadaqués. From the campsite, for example, you can walk to the Cala Nans lighthouse, enjoying views over the bay and hidden beaches like Sa Sabolla along the way. Prefer a slightly longer hike? Then the route to the protected nature reserve Paraje de Tudela is highly recommended – Salvador Dalí called this ‘a place created by gods’. The short walk to Port Lligat is also perfect for an afternoon outing with a visit to Dalí’s house.
Experience water fun in the surroundings of Cadaqués
The area around Cadaqués offers an impressive coastline with hidden coves and crystal-clear water. Rent a boat or join a tour with Cadaqués Boats or Marinet to explore the coastline from the sea. Looking for adventure? Go diving with Sotamar or Cadaqués Divers and discover the underwater world of Cap de Creus. Prefer to relax? Spend a day at one of the idyllic beaches such as Cala Jugadora or Cala Guillola – perfect for a picnic, snorkeling session, or simply an afternoon in the sun.

The park's location is widely appreciated, with Cadaqués just a 5-10 minute walk away and the Dalí museum nearby. Staff receive both praise for friendliness and criticism for indifference and lack of service. The swimming pool stands out for its beautiful setting with sea views, though there are insufficient sun loungers and no shade. The price-quality ratio sparks much debate: guests find the rates extremely high for a campsite, especially given the small pitches lacking privacy, limited cleaning, and a diesel generator causing significant noise and exhaust fumes. Booking problems and disappointing communication are regularly mentioned, as well as lack of shade and constant wind in some areas.

We had a fantastic week, and we'll definitely be back. The kids loved it.
The staff was very friendly; the location was great (right next to Salvador Dalí’s house), and the facilities are very well maintained. The campground is tiny, has everything you need, and really doesn’t need anything else for a few days of rest and relaxation. The atmosphere is very family-friendly.
It’s just a short walk to the center of Cadaqués for a stroll or a trip to the beach: you can easily walk there and avoid having to take the car.
The only “downside” I’d mention is that the restaurant takes a long time to take your order… maybe due to a lack of staff. One day we left after waiting 15–20 minutes; they weren’t serving us, and there weren’t even that many customers. There was a DJ that day, so maybe they were a bit overwhelmed.this is a translation, click here for the original
Hemos estado 1 semana súper bien, y repetiremos seguro.
