The park is situated in a beautiful natural area with forested surroundings and excellent walking opportunities, which guests particularly appreciate. Staff are often described as friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is large and well-liked, although it is also open to the public which can make it busy. Areas for improvement mainly concern the sanitary facilities, which are outdated and not always clean, the restaurant with limited opening hours, and noise disturbance from other guests or activities.

Perhaps my opinion is colored by the fact that we spent two nights at the campground during a HEAT WAVE. When we arrived at the cabin at 4:00 p.m., we nearly fainted when we opened the door. With no air conditioning or fans, it was literally a sauna! It was impossible to stay inside (especially with a small child). The pool is very large, but we think that once the heat advisory was issued, people from town came in droves (which I can understand because it was unbearable), but you could barely move because of all the people there (literally). If we opened the windows—since there were no screens—spiders, mosquitoes, and flies would come in. If we didn’t… we couldn’t breathe. It’s true that the temperature dropped at night, and we were able to sleep better than expected. Mosquito screens and a fan would be appreciated, since summers are starting to get much hotter than what people in this area might be used to. Everything else was pretty good. A modest campground with barbecue grills and a soccer field. (We didn’t use the restrooms or go to the bar.)

I’d give everything a 5, but the bar’s lunch and dinner hours are very limited and it gets crowded quickly, even though the staff is working really hard. if the bar served dinner from 8 to 11, it would give customers more flexibility (just my opinion). As for everything else—the location, cleanliness, and staff service—it’s all excellent.
