Escape to this cosy, partly renovated holiday cottage for 4 people, tucked away in a peaceful forest setting near the Trøndelag coast. You share the wooded area with just two other cabins, so you’ll enjoy plenty of privacy and quiet, with nature right on your doorstep.

Inside, you’ll find a bright combined living room and kitchen where you can relax after a day outdoors. Stream your favourite Nordic, German or international programmes via Allente and Astra1, and stay connected with fast fibre internet (50–100 Mbit). The practical kitchen comes with a dishwasher, stove with three hotplates and a 100L freezer in the cottage itself, plus access to an extra 100L freezer about 200 metres away – ideal if you’re planning to bring home a good fishing catch.

The cottage has two bedrooms and sleeps up to 4 people. One of the bunk beds has a wider 120 cm lower bunk and a 90 cm upper bunk, giving you some extra comfort and flexibility. Outside, a 7 m² terrace invites you to relax with your morning coffee or enjoy a quiet evening surrounded by trees and fresh sea air.

Love the water? A long, shallow sandy beach lies about 1,200 metres away – perfect for a refreshing swim or a leisurely walk by the sea. The area is a dream for anglers: you can fish in both salt and fresh water, with several good lakes nearby. Melvatnet (1 km) and Blåvatnet (3 km) offer trout and char up to 3.5 kg (fishing season 1 June–1 September, fishing licence required). In Lysøysundet you can fish for trout and char from the shore or by boat.

At the small marina, 600 metres from the cottage, you can rent a sturdy 18 ft Selfa boat with a 50 HP Evinrude-Etec engine, GPS/chart plotter/sonar and three rod holders. There’s also a covered filleting bench with light and running water, so you can clean your catch in comfort. Card payments are accepted.

When you’re not on the water, explore the local area on foot: stroll along the fjord, wander through forest and fields, or take a scenic boat trip to discover hidden coves and islands. Groceries and a restaurant can be found in Lysøysundet, about 7.5 km away. This cottage is a great base if you’re looking for a relaxing break in nature with fantastic fishing and simple, comfortable living.
