Wake up in a cosy log cabin with a traditional turfed roof, just 25 metres from the sea – this is Norway at its best. From your 11 m² covered terrace you look straight out over the water, with magical sunsets in midsummer when the sun doesn’t set until around 22:45. It’s the perfect spot to start your day with a coffee or end it with a glass of wine while the sky slowly turns pink.

Inside, the cottage is charming and practical. It sleeps up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms, making it ideal for couples, friends or a small family. The double bed can be turned into two singles if you prefer separate beds. The kitchen has 2 hot plates and a small oven – just what you need for simple home-cooked meals after a long day outside.

On the backside of the house you’ll find the entrance to a shared laundry room in the basement, handy for longer stays or after an active day in the mountains or on the water. The cabin is pet-friendly too, so you can bring up to two dogs along on your adventure.

If you love the sea, you’ll be in heaven here. Only 100 metres from the cottage lies the owner’s private harbour, where your motorboat is waiting. There’s also an indoor fish cleaning area with running water and lighting, plus a fish smoker you can use – ideal if you’re planning to catch your own dinner.

Anglers will find plenty to explore. The famous river Surna is just 500 metres away and is known for trout and salmon. In the wider area you’ll find more rivers and even a mountain lake with trout, where you can borrow a boat for a peaceful day on the water.

When you feel like a change of scenery, the village of Skei is 9 km away and offers various facilities and supplies. For real mountain lovers, Trollheimen is close by, boasting more than 200 peaks over 1,000 metres – perfect for hiking and exploring pristine Norwegian nature.

Day trips to Kristiansund, the Atlantic Road or the impressive Mardalsfossen waterfall are all possible from here, combining coastal views, fjords and dramatic landscapes. This cabin is a wonderful base if you’re looking for a quiet, scenic stay with easy access to both sea and mountains.
