ENGVIK HYTTA 83699 is a cosy, no-nonsense fishing cabin right by the ocean on Rebbenesøya’s wild west coast. It’s made for anglers who want to step out the door and be on the water within minutes – and who don’t mind swapping luxury for a truly top fishing spot.

Inside, the compact cabin has everything you need and nothing you don’t. The living area doubles as a bedroom with 4 bunk beds, so you can stay here with up to four people. There’s a simple kitchenette where you can cook your fresh catch, plus a bathroom with shower and toilet. You’ll also have access to a washing machine and free Wi-Fi, handy for checking the weather forecast or sharing today’s catch.

The real magic is outside. The sea is just 20 metres below the cabin, and from the terrace you have a wide, open view over the water and the small islands and reefs in front of the coast. There’s outdoor furniture and a barbecue, so on calm evenings you can grill your fish and enjoy long, light Nordic nights with your fishing buddies.

The waters here are known as some of the richest fishing grounds in Europe, especially for halibut. You can fish in a large and very varied sea area, between islets and rocks and over countless fishing spots. To make it even easier, you can rent a 19-foot Kværnø self-balancing boat with a 50 hp Yamaha engine, GPS/chartplotter, echo sounder and rod holders. The boat is moored at the floating jetty just below the cabin.

After a successful day, you can clean your catch at the covered filleting bench with light and running water. On the pier there are benches and tables where you can prepare your gear, talk tactics for the next day, or simply relax.
