General information
Looking for a relaxed getaway with your crew right by the water? This charming 18th‑century seaside cottage on Resarö is made for slow mornings, long swims and late‑night talks on the terrace.
The small, heritage‑listed house sits just a few steps from the beach, with uninterrupted views over the sea and a large, natural garden around you. On the beach you’ll find piers for swimming, volleyball nets for friendly competitions and big grassy areas to chill, sunbathe or play games together.
Inside, the sleeping spaces are nicely spread out so everyone has their own spot. There’s a double bed in the cosy living room, a separate guest house with another double bed, and two camp beds on the sleeping loft. The loft is reached via a steep staircase and is better suited for older kids or adults. To reach the beds upstairs you walk through a storage area, so it really feels like a tucked‑away hideout.
The fully renovated bathroom makes your stay easy and comfortable, with a toilet, shower, washing machine and dryer – perfect for longer stays or active beach days. The kitchen is small but smartly equipped with everything you need to cook simple, tasty meals together.
Outside, the star of the show is the spacious terrace with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Fire up the grill, pour a drink and enjoy endless sea views while the sun goes down – this is where your group is going to spend most of the time.
A two‑person canoe is included in your stay, and life vests are provided, so you can head straight out onto the water for a morning paddle or a sunset tour along the coast.
Resarö is an island close to Vaxholm, a classic Swedish summer town. You’re surrounded by water and nature, with beautiful walking routes and plenty of spots to explore. From Vaxholm you can catch archipelago boats into Stockholm or further out between the many islands. A bus stop just 600 metres from the house connects you easily to both Vaxholm and Stockholm – ideal if you want to mix peaceful island life with a city day trip.
