General information

The Safari tent Wilg offers space for four people and is located on a car-free field next to the pumpkin field and the horse meadow. From the veranda you look out over the greenery and the walking path towards the Kleine Nete.

Inside you will find two separate sleeping areas, one with a double bed and one with a bunk bed. Duvets, bed linen packages, bath towels and kitchen towels are already provided.

The kitchenette is fully equipped with a refrigerator, Nespresso machine and kettle. Inside there is a large dining table with four chairs.

Right next to the tent, a private toilet unit is part of the accommodation. For showering, you walk to the heated sanitary building nearby, which is included in the overnight stay. You can do the dishes at the washing-up areas by the main building.

On the veranda you can sit comfortably with a view of the climbing plants and willow branches. Wifi and parking are included. The tent is non-smoking and pets are not allowed.

What you should know about the park

Camping Houtum is located in the heart of the Belgian Kempen, close to Kasterlee. The park has a playground and borders the De Putten recreation area. Active guests can play beach volleyball or jeu de boules, explore the Kempen by bike, or walk through the surrounding forests. The Kleine Nete river flows right past the park and is well suited for a canoe trip. After an active day, Café de Congé is the place to unwind with a drink or a snack. The café also regularly organizes activities. Outside the park, there are plenty of excursions to enjoy: the Kabouterberg and the TrekJanPad are popular with families, and Bobbejaanland is a short distance away. Antwerp can be reached within an hour for those who want to spend a day in the city.

    We stayed one night in a tiny house at Camping Houtum and really enjoyed it. We received a warm welcome, and check-in was quick and straightforward.

    The tiny house looked brand-new, was tastefully decorated, and everything was spotlessly clean and tidy. You can tell a lot of attention was paid to comfort and style.

    Even though we were only there for one night, we felt welcome right away. A lovely place to stay. We’d love to come back here again!

    We hebben één nacht in een tiny house op Camping Houtum verbleven en dat is ons uitstekend bevallen. We werden hartelijk ontvangen en het inchecken verliep snel en duidelijk.

    Het tiny house zag er als nieuw uit, was sfeervol ingericht en alles was keurig schoon en netjes. Je merkt dat er veel aandacht is besteed aan comfort en uitstraling.

    Ondanks dat we er maar één nacht waren, voelden we ons meteen welkom. Een fijne plek om te overnachten. Wij komen hier graag nog eens terug!

    Unfriendly receptionist; booked online for 3 small tents (3 people + 2 dogs) with one person on the phone. Checked the prices upon arrival—they were as agreed—but then they said the price should be tripled because there were 3 tents?? 3 tents would also count as 2 campsites?? Asked for a refund and left. Money-grabbers and profiteers...
