    Overall, our stay was pretty good—we rode our bikes a lot (there are plenty of bike paths) and spent a lot of time fishing. Lots of waterfowl would visit us several times a day with their young, but they left a lot of droppings behind after their visits; still, our kids were always happy when they came.

    Im ganzen war unser Aufenthalt ganz gut, viel Fahrrad gefahren (es gibt viele Fahrradwege), viel Zeit mit Angeln verbracht. Viele Wasservögel die einen mehrmals am Tag besuchen kommen mit deren Nachkommen, hinterlassen aber viel Misst nach dem Besuch, aber unsere Kinder wahren immer froch wenn die kammen.

    We booked a stay at EuroParcs Zilverstrand for my birthday (staying Saturday to Tuesday) in a Cube La Mer 4 unit. We paid €597.84 specifically because the listing explicitly stated it was located "directly on the waterfront."
    ​What followed was a deeply frustrating experience from start to finish:
    ​Deceitful Listing & Rude Staff: On arrival, we were given keys to a unit at the far edge of the park—as far from the water as possible, and with no Wi-Fi. When my husband pointed out we paid for a waterfront unit, reception dismissively told us the website was "wrong" and treated us as if we were the problem. Only after 5 minutes of firm argument did a waterfront unit suddenly "become available."
    ​Closed Amenities & Extra Costs: The main resort lake was closed one of the days due to blue-green algae. We were never offered a discounted alternative by staff, forcing us to pay out-of-pocket to visit a nearby lake (Zilvermeer) just to use basic water facilities.

    After raising these issues with EuroParcs customer service, they flatly refused any partial refund or reimbursement for our extra expenses, and outright shut down further communication.
    ​Extremely disappointing customer service and misleading property descriptions. Avoid this park if you expect transparency or decent hospitality.

    The park isn’t bad. It just could have used a little more greenery. Upon arrival, we found out that the lake where we planned to go stand-up paddleboarding was closed due to blue-green algae. Do something about it. We came here specifically for that. We don’t know when we’ll be allowed to paddleboard. The campground store has very little on the shelves. So you’ll have to do your grocery shopping in town. The brasserie is very uninviting. Everything is housed in a single building that looks outdated. For kids, though, there’s a large playground and a swimming pool.

    Park is niet verkeerd. Had alleen wat meer groen mogen hebben. Bij aankomst blijkt het meer om in te suppen te zijn afgesloten ivm blauwalg. Doe er dan wat aan. We komen er speciaal voor. Onbekend wanneer we wel mogen suppen. Camping winkel heeft zeer weinig in de schappen. Dus haal je boodschappen in de stad. Brasserie is erg ongezellig. Alles zit in 1 gebouw die er gedateerd uitziet. Vóór kinderen is er wel een groot speeltuin en zwembad.

    We had a really fun weekend. Everyone was so welcoming. The cottage was very nice. The shower was wonderful. The beds were comfortable. There was a fun go-kart track. And a really fun bingo game.
