Alpaca Walk

Have you always wanted to go for a walk with alpacas? Next to Taverne de Krieckaert in Gellik, in the middle of the beautiful Lieteberg forest in Hoge Kempen National Park, and 10 minutes from the glamping, various activities are organized with specially trained therapy alpacas: Ren, Stimpy and Haakon. They love walking and enjoy meeting new people. An alpaca walk lasts 1 to 1.5 hours and is a unique experience through a beautiful area.

    We stayed there one night in our camper. The campground is very beautiful and close to nature. It’s in a great location if you want to visit the national park. The restrooms were top-notch. However, the store was practically nonexistent, and the service at the restaurant was rather unfriendly.

    Wir waren mit unserem Camper eine Nacht da. Der Campingplatz ist sehr schön und naturnah. Der Standort liegt gut wenn man den Nationalpark besichtigen möchte. Die Sanitäranlagen waren tip top. Der Shop war jedoch praktisch inexistent und die Bedienung im Restaurant eher unfreundlich.

    We went to the spray park for a day trip. It was so much fun! We also took a ride in a safari vehicle—the kids loved it, and we had a great time! We’ll definitely be back.
