Inside you’ll find playful installations, while outside a large playground with slides, nets, and water features awaits. Perfect for a day full of energy and fun. While children romp around, you can enjoy a drink on the terrace. Houtopia completes every family vacation.
Escapardenne Eislek Trail
Follow one of the most beautiful hiking routes in Europe: the Escapardenne Eislek Trail. This 106-kilometre route connects Kautenbach (Luxembourg) with La Roche-en-Ardenne and takes you right through forests, valleys, and deserted villages. The trail is divided into five stages and is ideal for hikers who enjoy peace, challenge, and panoramic views. Hameau de l'Ourthe is just a stone's throw away from one of the stages, making it the perfect base. Put on your hiking boots and experience the Ardennes in its purest form. Along the way, you'll encounter wooden watchtowers, small streams, and picnic spots. This trail isn't a sprint, but an experience—one that will stay with you.
Nature Park of the Two Ourthes
Discover the Nature Park of the Two Ourthes, an extensive area full of forests, valleys, and water. This nature reserve of more than 76,000 hectares stretches between Houffalize, La Roche-en-Ardenne, and Gouvy. Walk through deciduous forests, along the winding Ourthe, and spot birds of prey or fallow deer. Le Hameau de l'Ourthe is located on the edge of the park, allowing you to immediately join the walking network. Mountain bikers and cyclists will also find routes here with variety and challenge. Visit the lookout point Le Hérou for an impressive view or take a refreshing dip in the river. The Nature Park of the Two Ourthes proves that experiencing nature does not have to be grand or loud to be unforgettable.

Sanitaires nickels.

A huge thank you to the whole campsite team! You can really feel the passion, courage and hard work it takes to run a campsite today. It's clearly not an easy job, and yet you continue to welcome, to maintain, to adapt... and for that alone, hats off 👏 When I see some of the negative comments, I think that we sometimes forget the essential point: no one is obliged to come camping. If you choose this type of accommodation, you also accept what it implies. Complaining about the price, the weather or even the snow as if everything had to be perfect all the time is frankly unfair. On the contrary, we should be encouraging and supporting the people who still run campsites and who are fighting to keep these places alive. Entrepreneurship, especially in this field, requires an enormous amount of energy, time and sacrifice. If I'm leaving this review today, it's to be positive, to sincerely thank the managers, and to counterbalance the gratuitous criticism. Carry on as you are, and above all, thank you for still being there for us. 🌿🏕️ Wow, and bravo again!
