Stepping into history at Ooidonk Castle

Take the car and after a 20-minute drive, stand in front of Ooidonk Castle, one of the most beautiful castles in Belgium. From April to November, it is possible on Sundays and holidays to take a guided tour of this still-inhabited castle, where you will learn more about the rich history of this medieval fortified castle. Strolling through Ghent

This glamping in East Flanders is less than 5 km from the lively city of Ghent. A city is full of history, old canals, medieval masterpieces, cozy bars, and restaurants. The Graslei and the Korenlei are the oldest and perhaps the most beautiful and cozy places in Ghent. Here you will find many nice catering establishments. Of course, tasting the real Ghent Noses should not be missed. You can find the best ones in one of the carts on the Groentenmarkt.

Venture into nature

In the natural surroundings, you will find endless cycling and walking routes. Less than 2 km from the glamping is the urban nature reserve Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen. This park, which covers 220 hectares, has three hiking trails that take you past beautiful green nature with meadows and forest areas. Tens of thousands of birds perch in this area every year. There are special bird-watching huts along the way where you can spot the most beautiful birds undisturbed.

Plenty of fun at Blaarmeersen Sports and Recreation Park

Glamping at Urban Gardens Ghent means free access to the Blaarmeersen Sports and Recreation Park. In this green park with a large pond, there are plenty of water sports activities to do. Get in a canoe or kayak and paddle up the Leie. Learn to water ski or go pedal boating. For children, there is a water playground with a slide and a sandy beach that completes the recreation park. There is also plenty of fun to be had on dry land. For example, there is a skate park, a climbing rock and you can play mini-golf. For children, there is a large playground with a maze and you can play beach volleyball. The recreation park also has a hiking trail where you can completely relax with a hiking mountain and observation tower to admire the surroundings.

    Bonito camping, muy bien ubicado en un entorno precioso, en proceso de transformación. Lo que no nos ha gustado, han sido: - La dos zonas zonas que tiene el camping una nueva muy cuidada con unos servicios perfectos y otra zona abandonada y menos cómoda. Solo tenía un fregadero, y los aseos aunque muy limpios, no tenían jabón y estaban muy viejos. - El otro aspecto que no nos gustó fue que el camping no dispone de lavadora ni secadora. Tuvimos que irnos a una lavandería que nos recomendó el camping que es un auténtico asco y carísima.

    Bel campeggio immerso nel verde. Parte della struttura è in ristrutturazione e alcuni bagni risultano essere appunto da ammodernare. Purtroppo questo ha causato alcuni odori molesti.. per il resto piazzola spaziose e molto relax. Anche presenti delle mini lepri

    Stadscamping bij Gent. Prima uitvalsbasis voor bezoekjes aan de stad, per fiets (15 minuten) of per bus (10 minuten). Veel sport mogelijkheden in de buurt en een goede broodjes service van de camping. Het nieuwe sanitair is schoon en netjes. Het nog-niet-vervangen sanitair is oud maar schoon. De snelweg is wel altijd hoorbaar.

    Vi bestilte denne plasen på forhånd, 3 netter med bobil. Beliggenheten er utmerket. Ganske lett å komme inn i Gent sentrum med sykkel ca. 12- 15 min, raskt, enkelt, trygt og morsomt eller med buss 11 (3€). Her er en ganske grei campingplass, fasilitetene er ok, ryddige. Sanitæranlegg skal pusses opp. Gode og store bobilplasser omgitt av hekk. Fint, grønt område med en vakker innsjø og gåveier rundt. Flotte lekeplasser. Wifi virker kun på resepsjonsområdet.

    Campingplassen tilbyr store plasser til bobil/vogner med hekker rundt. Noen sanitæranlegg er nye, andre er gamle og slitne - men rene. Beliggenheten er helt topp for å besøke Gent. Det er fin sykkelsti hele veien, ca 15-20 minutter. Du får sykkelkart i resepsjonen. Vi skjønner ikke de dårlige anmeldelsene mange gir plassen. Det er litt dyrt, ja - men ellers er vi godt fornøyd!
