Kompas Camping Nieuwpoort is a large campsite with spacious pitches and many facilities for families. Sanitary facilities and cleanliness are frequently mentioned, with guests appreciating the modern amenities but also noting that cleaning could be more intensive during busy periods. Staff are often experienced as friendly, though there are signals of varying customer service and understaffing. The location near Nieuwpoort and the beach is a strong point, and the pool, restaurant, and entertainment contribute to the stay, although it is noted that the pool does not always feel heated.

A two-week stay at the campground—truly delightful—that lets you enjoy your vacation to the fullest.
Whether it was the campground in general, the incredible pool, or the rest of the staff, everything was top-notch. However, if I had to point out one negative aspect, it would be the brasserie. As Walloon/French-speaking guests, we found that some staff members lacked courtesy. A simple “hello” or “thank you” doesn’t cost a thing, after all.
Aside from that, we had an excellent stay.this is a translation, click here for the original

Upon arrival, the license plate recognition system worked well, allowing us to find our spot quickly. After about an hour, someone came by to check whether our RV and car were parked correctly. However, the campground is very large and therefore rather impersonal. Personally, I prefer being greeted at the front desk rather than receiving all the information via email. Our campsite was located among the seasonal sites and was covered with a lot of rabbit droppings. In addition, there was hardly any grass. It was a shame that we weren’t assigned to a tourist campsite, which we believe would have made for a more pleasant experience. The restroom facility was also disappointing. There was often a strong sewage odor, and the cleaning seemed insufficient to keep the building fresh and clean. In addition, the ice cream vendor drove through the campground at high speed several times a day, accompanied by loud music. He drove both forward and in reverse past our site. This gave us the impression that he didn’t always have a clear view of his surroundings, which we found unsafe and disruptive. All in all, this campground did not meet our expectations. The size and impersonal approach, the condition of the campsite, the quality of the restrooms, and the disturbance caused by the ice cream vendor all had a negative impact on our stay.

A great campground, well-maintained, with a very professional welcome, close to the coast and plenty of amenities. Convenient, clean, and welcoming. What more could you ask for?

We were staying on the campground. The restroom building is a 5-minute walk away, which is way too far. On top of that, the restroom and shower buildings aren’t cleaned properly (they smell bad). Hair that’s in a shower one day is still there the next day.
The fact that you’re not allowed to drive in to unload all your camping gear is unacceptable. It makes you feel like you’re not welcome.
As for staying on the campground’s open field, I give it a big failing grade (4 out of 10).
Furthermore, there’s nowhere to get a cup of coffee or have breakfast in the morning.this is a translation, click here for the original
