Summary created out of 226 reviews

Camping Polari is an expansive, well-maintained holiday resort directly by the sea near Rovinj. Guests appreciate the spacious pitches, modern and exceptionally clean sanitary facilities that are constantly cleaned, and the beautiful location with cycling paths along the coast to Rovinj. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, and the pool complexes are beautifully designed. Areas for improvement include high prices for facilities, restaurants and activities (with almost everything requiring extra payment), noise disturbance from music and traffic late into the evening, and unclear enforcement of dog rules in non-dog areas.

    What was good:
    - reception area
    - new and comfortable facilities
    - variety of infrastructure (sports area, supermarket, entertainment, dining options)
    - beaches and water

    What we didn't like:
    - the first evening experience was terrible; we spent 2 hours searching for an adequate spot because it turned out that our booking did not include a marked camping spot, and it was really difficult to understand where one could camp and where not (and to choose a spot not right next to trash disposal or under direct sun)
    - the territory of the camping is so huge that it doesn't feel comfortable and cozy at all - more like a small city
    - traffic in the camping is insane - cars, scooters, e-bikes, all moving very fast; this added to it not feeling like a safe space
    - the pool is extremely crowded, we went there once and never returned again; paid sunbeds was another nuisance, but due to the overall pool experience, we weren't even motivated to use this offer

A great experience at Camping Polari! 😊

Beautiful location, a huge and well-maintained campground. The restrooms are spotless, and there’s always staff cleaning them nonstop… what a treat 😂👏🏻

Inside, you’ll find practically everything: restrooms, bars, restaurants, and everything else you might need during your stay.

We had a really great time—definitely a place we recommend! 🌊⛺️

P.S. One downside: the hornets buzzing around—pest control is urgently needed.

Bellissima posizione, campeggio grandissimo e ben tenuto.

Ps. Nota negativa i calabroni che ronzano intorno , urge disinfestazione.

3 stars – a beautiful campground, but with some significant drawbacks

We had already stayed at Camping Polari in 2024 and came back again this year. That’s why we can make a brief comparison.

    On the plus side:
The campground itself is truly beautiful and spacious. Because of its size, everything is well-spaced out, and you don’t get the feeling that everything is crammed into one spot. Overall, it was also very clean—though, of course, every camper should do their part and leave their site and the restrooms clean.

    Restrooms:
We can only comment on washhouses 7 and 8. We definitely prefer washhouse 8, as the showers there are much better for both children and adults. In washhouse 7, for example, there’s no decent shelf space for shampoo, shower gel, etc.

A major downside for us is the Kapula Burger Bar.
In 2024, we were still able to pay in cash there and were served. This year, unfortunately, the situation is a disaster. In the evenings, there’s an endlessly long line, so that at some point you just don’t feel like getting anything there anymore. At the same time, you sometimes get the impression that the waitstaff are just standing around and clear tables only very sporadically. For a 4-star campground, we would have expected much more here.

We also think the campground really charges a premium—both at the grocery store and for offers aimed at families with children.

We also find it very unfortunate that the Kapula Burger Bar doesn’t open until noon. Especially on vacation, we would have loved to take a short break from the beach in the morning to enjoy a coffee with a view of the sea on the new lounge chairs—but unfortunately, that wasn’t possible at that time of day.

We also find the new pool wristbands pretty pointless. There’s an open spot right next to the turnstile anyway, and no one ever actually checked to see if we were wearing a wristband.

Something else we noticed this year: Some of the waitstaff seem very unfriendly and unmotivated.

All in all, the campground itself is really nice and definitely has potential. However, due to the points mentioned, we can only give it 3 stars this time. Especially for a 4-star campground, we would have expected significantly more in terms of service, food, and value for money.
