Whether you are experienced or want to learn to fish together with children: the river offers peace, nature, and pleasant encounters with local enthusiasts. A relaxing way to experience the surroundings and truly unwind.
Push Your Limits in the Vercors
Head out and discover the impressive landscapes of the Vercors and the Diois. Numerous hiking and cycling routes for all levels start from Die. Climb the Col du Rousset for panoramic views over mountain plateaus, or choose the Col de la Chaudière towards the Drôme Provençale. Mountain bikers will find challenging trails here, while hikers can enjoy valleys such as the Vallon de Combeau or the spectacular Cirque d’Archiane, where vultures soar overhead. Whether you are athletic or mainly want to enjoy nature and tranquility, here you will experience the Drôme at its most impressive.
Taste the Soul of the Diois
Let yourself be tempted by the flavors and traditions of the Diois. Follow the Clairette route and discover wine estates where the famous Clairette and Crémant de Die are produced. Visit cellars, taste local wines, and learn more about centuries-old wine traditions. At the Die markets (Wednesday and Saturday) you can taste the region: picodon cheese, honey, walnuts, ravioli, and lamb dishes. The region is known as one of the first organic valleys in France, where sustainable agriculture is central. Combine gastronomy with culture by visiting charming villages such as Châtillon-en-Diois, or discover the heritage at the Mémorial de Vassieux-en-Vercors. Here, nature, history, and the good life effortlessly come together.

A superb campground in a beautiful setting. Two pools in great locations, surrounded by trees and natural shade... Great facilities for the kids... Plenty of lounge chairs! That’s really the highlight I noticed, because in my previous experiences, there were never enough of them. Here, not only are there plenty, but they’re also high-quality and super comfortable. The staff is laid-back and helpful. The overall atmosphere is really cool and pleasant. I highly recommend it!

After reading a lot of reviews and seeing so many negative comments from people sometimes, I find myself thinking, “Are you just trying to badmouth someone or something?” Well, here’s a very positive review, anyway. The first time I came to the campground, I was 12 years old. Now I’m 42, so I’ve been coming here for quite a few years. The restrooms were brand-new back then. And they still look the same today. There’s nothing wrong with them. They’re cleaned three times a day 👌—yeah, the biggest slobs are the biggest complainers themselves. The campground has had new owners for a few years now. And they’re really sweet, kind, and wonderful people. I’ve known them from their first season until now and have seen how much they’ve invested to get the campground back in tip-top shape. Yes, there’s sometimes trouble from the kids (though I’ve never been bothered by it myself), but if you do have a problem, just talk to them or their parents directly.
For us, the area still remains surprising and refreshing even after all these years. It’s an ideal campground for children. Our kids have everything they need and get along well with everyone. It’s also great that more and more of the same people come back every year because it really is a beautiful, peaceful, and surprising campground.

Mixed feelings about this campground. It’s in a fantastic location on the Drôme River. We had a truly amazing spot with a great view.
There’s a water tap right next to it and a path down to the river.
The restroom building was clean, though I actually had to take a cold shower the first time I used it. This was probably because the campground wasn’t very full, and with heavy use, it might take a long time for the water to heat up. I did have hot showers later on, though.
The electricity had some trouble powering the air conditioner in the camper. Every now and then, the fridge would display an error message. That was a hassle because it was sweltering.
There’s a place to barbecue. There were some nice seating areas here and there. The river was nice, and the pool was nice.
We also visited the restaurant. That wasn’t a very pleasant experience because we were served a completely different dish, and when we pointed this out, the waiter asked if we were sure about what we’d ordered. Not the nicest response.
The promised side of fries with the salmon wasn’t included either, and when we asked why, we were simply told that it came with rice—even though I’d specifically asked for fries earlier. From the same person. That didn’t come across as very friendly.
Other staff members, however, were friendly.
The campground is located near the charming town/village of Die. Nice market.
Note: if you’re taller than 2.90 meters, take a different route through town.
In short: a very nice campground with truly beautiful sites and all the amenities you need—we just had a few unpleasant experiences.this is a translation, click here for the original
Lastig want bloedheet.
Mogelijkheid om te bbqen. Her en der leuke zitjes.

A beautiful campground, located right on the Drôme River. A charming village, a nice market, plenty of opportunities for (electric) biking, and beautiful (though challenging) hiking trails.
