Summary created out of 247 reviews
Huttopia Wattwiller is beautifully situated in the forests of Alsace, offering a peaceful, nature-rich environment perfect for families. Guests especially appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, the spacious and shaded pitches among the trees, and the clean sanitary facilities that are cleaned multiple times a day. The indoor and outdoor pool with views over the Vosges is a major highlight, as are activities such as mini golf, padel, table tennis, and nature-focused animations for children. The campsite is an excellent base for exploring charming Alsatian villages like Eguisheim, Riquewihr, and Colmar, and offers beautiful hiking and cycling routes directly from the site. The pizzas and fresh bread from the bakery are regularly praised. However, the campsite is built on a slope with elevation differences, which can be challenging for some guests with limited mobility or heavy caravans, and some facilities such as mini golf and padel equipment need maintenance. During high season it can be busy and lively with many families, which sometimes affects the tranquility.

We did have a bit of a rough start upon arrival. Our glamping tent hadn’t been cleaned yet. They couldn’t tell us when it would be done because it was busy. As compensation, our group received one complimentary drink. Not per person, but for one person. We were told we’d get a call when our accommodation was cleaned. After waiting two hours by the pool, we decided to go to the front desk anyway, where we were told it was ready. But they had forgotten to call us.
In the end, though, we did have a nice vacation. The tent was more than fine. There was a lot of climbing around the grounds, but that didn’t bother us. At peak times, the pool does get a bit crowded. But I understand that everyone needs to cool off.
I didn’t find the area around the campground particularly special.this is a translation, click here for the original

Great campground. It’s quite a climb to get from the bottom to the top, though.

TERRIBLE tent pitches covered with sharp debris DESTROYING your tent and dangerous for children. They probably used the cheapest construction RUBBLE in the area to cover the plots as it even contains old pieces of glass, plastic and tiles!
