The campground itself was perfect, and so was the hospitality. It would have been an idyllic spot if it weren't for a few Dutch people talking loudly late into the night without any regard for the other campers. Too bad.

Very quiet and clean campsite. The owners are charming. A highlight is the pool being open until 9 pm, which gives you the option to go sightseeing and then return for a lovely swim. Many thanks for everything. 100% recommended. We'll be back – we still have things left to do.

I came across this little jewel of a campsite on my travels through France in June. If you're looking for a quiet, relatively small, rural site without all the fancy facilities this is the place to go to. Lovely, friendly owners and on your arrival or any other time you're likely to be greeted by the chicken or the cat. What a pity that I could only stay for one night.

I’ve visited this camp site a couple of times this year, initially prompted by a friend in the UK when I was visiting Cahors.
It is an absolute oasis, set on the golden triangle plateau just north of Albi and Gaillac in the wine region.
An amazing array of mature trees, shrubs, flowers, figs, damsons, sloes.. hedges around each pitch, each … big enough for a caravan with awning. Lovely views, dog walks and locals selling fresh eggs. There is a beautiful pool, again surrounded by shrubs and trees on one side giving shade if you like.
Various pre pitched tents on site offered if you don’t fancy bringing your own, compete with kitchen pods and bbq’s and all that too easy stuff!
The bar is well stocked with local wine, beers, soft drinks and ice cream.
Regular evenings with freshly cooked pizza, table d’hote and steak frite in season.
Bread and croissants collected from the Boulangerie on order daily and delivered to your porch.
The local big smoke is 5 minutes away, walkable and cycleable, Cordes-sur-ciel, a beautiful medieval bastide ‘town on a hill’, there are several in the region, amazing centres of culture, architecture and artisans still making jewellery, knives, leather work etc
20 minutes down the road is Albi and Gaillac, loads of architecture, music, events…
Getting here is simple, return flights from Stansted to either Toulouse or Rodez are under £100 and the trains run to Cordes, then a hike, maybe a couple hours with a back pack.
Or drive like I did and stay a while!
