We just spent two weeks camping at La Clémentine, in a tent: the campsites are shaded and spacious; the swimming areas are a real treat, especially in the heat—particularly the lagoon, which is gorgeous 😍
The receptionists are cheerful and very friendly; Fred from security is attentive and very kind; and Sam and Nathan, the activity leaders, had us laughing a lot during the many activities offered (evening events, sports tournaments...). The Pilates and circus activities were also really fun! We also really enjoyed playing padel, ping-pong, pétanque, and badminton… The trip was a huge success—thanks to the whole team!this is a translation, click here for the original

The treatment of guests was deplorable. We arrived on Thursday, August 20, and everything could have been perfect—from the campground’s setting and the weather to the rather comfortable and well-located accommodations. However, things aren’t that simple. In fact, from the very first night, the guests in the unit across from us were exceptionally noisy and showed an unacceptable lack of respect for those around them. Giving them the benefit of the doubt—knowing that there were quite a few of them and that they might all have gathered with family and friends in a single unit that was originally designed to accommodate only four people, even though there were more than fifteen of them—we told ourselves thatthis was just a one-time, one-night-only noisy get-together—unfortunately timed for us. Swearing, insults, shouting, music blaring—why not, just for one night? The very next day, we told management that this couldn’t keep going on like that every night (since we’d had a bad feeling about the whole situation). Management told us they’d take the necessary steps by having the security guard make a rounds that evening. The very next evening, same story, same people, and same attitude—nothing had been done. I went back the following day to say that it was unacceptable for my two children—one of whom is a toddler—to be unable to sleep at night, and management told me they would take more serious measures, but nothing was done. The third night, same thing all over again—even louder, in fact. I called the security guard that very evening, just as management had told me to, explaining that it was absolutely unacceptable for our neighbors to behave this way. I called at 11:30 p.m., the security guard answered and told me he was going to go there to ask them to stop the racket. We saw him walk back and forth five or six times nearby, but he couldn’t find the site—even though it was very clearly described— he left without doing anything because he apparently didn’t know his way around the campground, and nothing happened except that we had to endure yet another nuisance that even prevented my wife and me from hearing each other speak on our own patio. The children kept coming to see us between 10:30 p.m. and midnight because they couldn’t fall asleep (they described to us, word for word, the insults coming from the unit across the way and the sound of the music). Today is day 3 of our stay—not a single decent night’s sleep, and the management hasn’t taken any concrete action. Why didn’t they actually ask those people to stop behaving that way, or at least move us to a unit where we could at least get some sleep! At this point, we have only 4 days left; we’ve spent more on this vacation than it would have cost us to stay at home in peace—a vacation that’s been less restful and, in the end, even more exhausting than our daily routine with work every day and managing the kids’ school and other daily responsibilities. Life at a campground is, by definition, communal—that’s the very principle—but it must be based on mutual respect. The management doesn’t seem capable of handling this. At this point, I fully intend to request a refund. I’m ready to leave and get my money back.

Merci.

We stayed at La Clementine Campground for a week and had a wonderful time there. It was very quiet, the guests were very pleasant (many families), and the lagoon and outdoor pool were very, very well maintained—truly relaxing spots.
The accommodations also matched the pictures. We appreciated having a security guard on the premises as an added safety measure.
The only point of criticism was the food at Lou Recantou. On the first evening, my daughter’s meal was completely forgotten, but the food that night was good overall.
The second time, the entrecôte I ordered was almost cold. After I sent it back, the second one wasn’t much better. Given how quickly it arrived, I assume they were pre-grilled and just reheated.
The “well-done” burger my wife ordered was basically medium-rare and was barely touched.
The service, especially at the front desk, was very, very friendly, and all the staff on the premises were very courteous and helpful.
Many thanks to everyone!this is a translation, click here for the original
Vielen Dank an alle!
