A beautiful campground with incredibly friendly staff. We wanted to move sites because the construction was bothering us, and they accommodated us without any problems. The service was excellent, and we had a wonderful stay.

For a cyclist traveling with a tent who's on "La Vagagonde," the very least you need is a microwave, and a fridge would be a nice bonus—too bad I'll have to eat cold food.

We just wrapped up a week for two in a furnished tent with a private bathroom and toilet. Number 49.
It was a fantastic week!
What we liked:
- the staff’s service; very helpful, friendly, and they speak English quite well at the front desk
- the campground grounds are very beautiful with lots of trees, surrounded by the waters of the Dordogne
- the campground facilities. Table tennis tables, a volleyball court, a bocce court, and a lounge with a TV to watch the World Cup matches (in French only)
- a lovely swimming pool, a smaller heated pool, and a wading pool with a little bar during peak season serving what might just be the best cappunico in the Dordogne—the size of a fishbowl 😉
- the picturesque village just a 2-minute walk away
- beautiful green and hilly surroundings
- some nice little restaurants in the village
- the place had everything we needed
- We were there just outside of peak season, so accommodation prices were lower and there weren’t many occupied spots
What we didn’t like:
- For us, the mattresses in the Sweet tent were too hard. We ended up with back and shoulder pain.
Day trips to Rocamadou (a beautiful, picturesque spot with great views and cute shops) and Gouffre de Padirac (fairytale-like caves that are wonderfully cool).
Tip: Use the two fans outside the tent as well to keep the mosquitoes at bay.
All in all, even though the thermometer hit 40 degrees all week, and thanks to the shower in the tent, the pool, and the fans inside the tent, we look back on a fantastic week!
Highly recommended.this is a translation, click here for the original
Nummer 49.
Het was een fantastische week!
Wat vonden we positief;
Wat vonden we zelf niet positief;
