A very, very beautiful campground, located in a charming little village that’s within walking distance. Unfortunately, it was very crowded during this time in August 2026, so it was quite cramped and noisy. As for activities, it’s a shame they didn’t offer more “fishing” sessions, because there were really a lot of people signed up, and it would have been more enjoyable if there were fewer people so we could make the most of it—especially since the instructor was great. The pool tiles need to be redone, and the common area wasn’t clean because of completely disrespectful children (and their parents): food wrappers, underwear (!!!!) on the floor, wheelchair-accessible entrances blocked by wooden toys left there by those same children, etc....
The restrooms aren’t very clean because the path from outside to the pool runs right through the restroom area, so there are traces of dirt on the wet floor—it’s pretty unsightly.
Otherwise, the site is truly magnificent. The staff is very friendly, too.

A beautifully situated campground with spacious sites, right on the Dordogne River. We stayed here for a week in a tent.

Pros: the location by the river, where you can have a lot of fun. For example, floating down the river on an inner tube is a lot of fun. In addition, the campground is right next to a charming village that’s just a short walk away, and there are several highlights within easy driving distance, such as Rocamadour or Padirac.

Areas for improvement: The pool isn’t very clean. When we arrived, the second pool was being cleaned; the first pool got murkier by the day, and by the last few days, we really didn’t want to go in there anymore. Even though it’s peak season, that really shouldn’t happen. Also, there could be a bit more variety in terms of food than just pizza, although you can head into town for a crepe or other options.

Other than that, we had a good stay, and I think it’s a good choice for many families.
